CVS: FREE Crystal Light On The Go!

CVS has the Crystal Light single packs (found in the cooler door) priced at just $0.50 each. Purchase 4 for a total of $2 and use the $2/2 coupon from the 9/13 SmartSource insert. Your final cost will be 4 for FREE! The best part--the coupon will not beep!

This is a great way to still score FREE Crystal Light without having to deal with the wonderful beepage that occurs at Target!

Are CVS and Rite aid the same company? I don't see CVS's where I see RiteAId's.

I have been from FLorida to Cali - I grew up in FLorida. Right now we're in Idaho where my hubby grew up. And, I don't ever see a rite aid where they have cvs's and vica versa.

Is it a regional thing or is it a company thing?

Speaking of regional, I notice collin doesn't post albertson deals - but she posts other smaller stores? Albertsons can be found from the west coast to the east cost. Is it because she doesn't have one, it would make sense to me to post albertsons deals - I shop there with coupons and store sales and save more money than going to walmart. Especially because they have double coupons almost each week. I use walmart as my last stop.

Because we hate the beepage.

also, I earn gas credits and get diacounts on my gas - like for every $50 I spend (before coupons and albertson card discounts) I get .05 off per gallon of gas up to $1.50 for a fill up (30 gallons max I think)(1 fill up and you start over)

It is awesome. We usually get to about.60 off per gallon when use it, so that is like $2.09 a gallon we will pay and we fill up my car and some of my hubbys at the same time at that price. Then we start over - it is awesome.

We recently bought about 40 boxes of ceareal for like $13.00 at albertsons (you can roll catalinas)and got the full gas credits! So, yeah - alberstons would be great to post about.

superpaige: I never had a beep once on albertsons, and I have gone to over 4 different ones here at one time or another - but walgreens yup - people have them all the time.

She may not post the Alberton's deals because a lot of other blogs post these. I couldn't find any Alberton's in the Mid-West. We only have WalMart, Marsh, and Kroger around me in Indiana. From what I could tell on the Alberton website that they were only on the West Coast, so it may not benefit Hip2Save to bother with those deals. Just my thoughts...

I don't feel right about using a coupon that states $2 off 2 items on 4 items... but that's just me...

To anyonymous above - Do you have a problem using coupons when they give you overage? That's all this is...you're using the coupon to buy 2 items, getting overage, and getting 2 more items free from the overage. I don't see a problem with that at all.

Kristin,

If it's the store's policy to NOT give overage and the cashier is pushing my coupons through then yes, I do say something.

I don't see this as overage though... I see it as: spend the coupon according to the terms written on the coupon. I don't try to take advantage of the system for 4 crystal light packets that I get by the 10 count box for FREE by spending coupons as they should be spent.

Thanks.

Mom who cares,
Collin post for the stores where most of us shop. I shop at ShopRite and Acme...there are a lot a grocery stores across the map...too many for Collin to post.
Besides all that Collin does for us, she does have a husband and 3 children to take care of.
If she were to post grocery stores too, it would take away from all the free stuff she finds for us...I would rather get the free stuff and find my own ShopRite deals.
If you see a great deal at Albertsons, by all means email Collin and she can post it for the readers that do shop at Albertsons...some of us have done this for ShopRite and Collin posted it.
A few miles away there is a CVS right across the street from RiteAid.

Anon - I'm not trying to argue with you I was just trying to get you to understand how you WERE following the terms of the coupon. The terms of the coupon is that you need to buy 2. You have bought 2 so I don't see how that's misusing the coupon.

We're all entitled to our opinion and if you're not comfortable with doing it then you don't have to. I personally will not be taking advantage of this deal simply because I'm not comfortable using coupons on trial sizes. However I see no problem in eating up overage with additional items.

how long is the crystal light sale for

Thanks everyone - I was curios - and yes you are right there are a lot of sites that have ALbertsons posts.

I lived in Florida and their are tons of Albertsons there - they go from the east to the west cost.

ShopRite is a store I never even heard of and I have recently been to FLorida (grew up there), Georgia (2 years), and Iowa (1 year).

Thanks to the person who told me they have a cvs and a rite aid - Lucky you to have both a riteaid and cvs!!

Thank you everyone
those all helped answer my questions!!

Kristin,

Honestly, I'm not trying to argue either. I understand what you're saying.

I just think people should think about what they're doing when they spend coupons in this sort of "grey area" -- stores make more rules. I mean the coupon says "$2 wyb 2" not "$2 wyb at least 2." I'm not trying to convince anyone do it my way or yours...

I guess I wouldn't go through all the trouble to use this particular coupon on 4 single packets when I used the same coupon to get 2 boxes (20 packets) free. I understand not everyone had this opportunity...

Just voicing my opinion same as everyone else :-)

If the coupon says two and I buy two then I have met the requirements for that coupon unless their are size restrictions which many companys do put on their coupons.... otherwise it doesn't matter. I think everybody has to decide on their own how they want to use their coupons.
