I went today and didn't see the 24 oz bags of candy for $5...they were $8.99 and some people had said the coupons worked on the 22.4 oz. bags that are 2/$5 without beeping, so they got it all free! Hmm...

Also, you can do the Centrum deal for...Buy 2 Centrum Ultra vitamins = $20, buy a $5 Sense and Spray. Use $5/$25 coupon, Use $4 Sense and Spray coupon, Use $5 off 2 Centrum coupon from Centrum.com = $11, get a $10 ECB from the vitamins. Not bad!

Also, Publix has Nestle 24 oz. candy on BOGO which ends up being $3 each so after coupon $1 per bag.

Thx for this posting. My son's school is doing a Veterans donation (in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day) and one of the items on the list is hard candy. This is perfect!

The smaller wonka bags work with the 24oz coupons. It doesn't beep. However, this flu quiz coupon is one we have already used b/c it beeped at me and said "this discount has been previously applied". The Mgr was very nice and just decided on her own to push it through. So, my deal worked out beautifully. If you did all three flu quizzes when the links were out there this was one of them.

How do I get it to print more than 2 coupons?

get a second computer

Nicole - just because the coupon doesn't beep doesn't mean it's ok to use it on something other than what it specifies. I know we all love getting a great deal but you really need to use the coupon correctly.

I know the ad says 'Limit 1' on the candy deal, but does anyone know if you can do it more than once? I vaguely remember someone saying the limit was more. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kristin said...

Chris - I can't say for sure cause I haven't done it myself but I'm pretty sure you can. On your receipt where it tells you what deals you've done it says (on mine at least) Amount earned on this reward - 22.89 and then Amount needed to earn reward - 20.00.

If the limit was actually 1 wouldn't it say limit reached? Anyways that's what I'm basing it off of and the face that I've heard the same thing from other people.

I went to CVS last night and got Pampers and Huggies megapacks on clearance for $4.50 (combined with the $2 huggies Qs= $2.50), Huggies sunscreen for $2.25 (combined with a $2 huggies sunscreen Q= $0.25), and 3 oral B vitalities for $5.75 (combined with a $5 Q = $0.75). It was a GREAT night!

I printed my 5/25 coupon last night and didn't have a problem.

Kristin, the reason the coupon doesn't beep is b/c they don't make 24oz bag of candy for every region. I am not sure you are aware but these companies actually are ok with using a coupon for something that is .5 ounces less than the coupon states. They don't want you using them on product that is 1/2 the size. I also didn't know that we had to moderate other people's coupon use. I am not copying a pdf a 100 times and those weren't intended to do that but I bet you've done it.

Kristin said...

Nicole, you bet I print PDF's 100 times? And what about my comment makes you think that? I actually usually pass up on most PDF's because alot of them end up not being legit. I know it's a rarity but I actually coupon responsibly. I wouldn't want someone to take advantage of MY generosity so I try not to do that to others as well. Companies do not NEED to release coupons, I try to remember that and do my part in playing by the rules so they continue to do so.

And what do I know? Maybe they don't care if you buy something a little smaller but where exactly are you getting that info? Did you call Nestle? If they didn't care then why would they bother putting a size restriction.

well it seems we have a coupon sergeant in here. kristin do you really think .5 ounce difference like nicole said is that big of a deal to use the coupon on? i would understand if she was using the coupon for the small bags but .5oz difference? really?

@ Nicole & Kristin: Please don't junk up the coupons with lashing about 'coupon ethics'. This is a wonderful blog, and I frequent it several times a day. It's difficult sometimes to read through all comments to make sure you're 'doing the deal right'. So...let's just put comments on here relating to what HIP posted for us! :) PLEASE and thank you:)

If you only have one computer, you can still make out really good. Here is a scenario I am going to do.

Buy:
2 Nestle Bags of candy 5x2=10
2 Wonka Bags of candy 5x2=10
For a total of 20 (qualifies for $5 ECB)
Use 2 Nestle coupons and 2 Wonka coupons

Then add in something to get past the $25 mark to use your 5/25. I am going to do two neosporin lip healths and use 2 $3 coupons to make them free.

Pay: around $7.00 get back $5.00 ECB!

Mrs20Mist - I agree, this is a great blog and I too come here way more than I care to admit. I don't want to argue with anyone or clog up the posts with ethic debates either. I truly wasn't trying to argue, lash anyone or be a coupon sergeant. I was just reminding her (and everyone else) that limitations are set for a reason. How far you choose to bend the rules is truly up to you but I don't see why anyone would want to advertise that they're misusing a coupon (by .5 oz or 12 oz). If you're going to bend the rules (even in the slightest) to sweeten a deal just keep it to yourself. It's people like that that make us couponers look bad AND why stores are getting so tough on us.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Marcie. On top of that I can use $6.99 ECB from Grade!!
So OOP will be almost nothing.
Now only I could find Neosporin...last time they were sold out.

Great job Marcie! I was trying to figure something out since I can only print 2 since I have one computer! Any thoughts on how to use the B3G1 coupon ...? I have 2 it was from an insert...I was thinking Publix w/the bogo deals, but can't figure out how that works...do I "buy" 8 and pay for 2 (using 2 b3g1 coupons)

My CVS is no longer doing the buy $20 in candy get $5 ecb....is anybody else having the same issue?

Anonymous said...

oh my god. sorry to say this but geez kristin lighten up. keep the ethics to yourself. like ms20mist said lets keep the comments about the deal that hip provided for us.not about how YOU think we should use the coupons. and last dont be judging people by saying "its people like that that makes us look bad" speak for yourself and dont include the rest of us.

Anonymous said...

holly, what part of az are you from? i was going to go try this deal.

Donna said...

Kristin, Just wanted you to know they probably don't make the 24 oz size anymore. Just a thought. With the recent events of the economy the manufactures have been shrinking all products. Just look at the cereal boxes.

I called a CVS the other night & was told it was only last week. I was hoping that she was wrong but I dont see it in the ad. Strange...

coupons aren't on there anymore and I could not get one from the CVS flu quiz either.
