Restaurant.com: $25 Certificates for $2 AGAIN!

Restaurant.com has a new 80% off promotional code:

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and pay ONLY $2!
Just use promo code TREATS!

For a total of just $2, you'll end up getting a $25 gift certificate! I always stock up on certificates when they are 80% off. They don't expire for a year after purchasing, so you'll definitely have lots of time to make use of them. These would also make for inexpensive Christmas gifts too!

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What's that? It's a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code TREATS--your total will drop down to just $24! Wahoo! That means you're snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

If your unfamiliar with how restaurant.com works, then be sure to check out this post! You may also want to read through the comments on this post if you still have questions.

Anon,
Yes, I've done this package before and it's ONLY a one time charge of $24. You will not be billed anything after that. It's a pretty great deal!

Sheree,

You can actually print of the certificates right after purchasing. You can even use them today if you wanted!

When it says valid with a $35.00 purchase does that mean ypu pay the $35.00 then when you spend an additional $25.00 you can get that certificate amount off? Thanks

Shelby- What are usually the restrictions?

response from shelby said...

minimum purchase, in some instances $50. 18% gratutity added on, not valid on the weekends or holidays. i did purchase one the last time they had this deal and the one thing i had to do was just purchase 2 dinner entrees, im OK with that.

i just used one this saturday and you have a minimum of $35 purchase not including alcoholic beverages and then they add in 18% gratuity, after all has been calculated, you take off $25. the lowest you can get it is $35 for the meal, 18% gratuity is $6.30, total is $41.30, then deduct $25 for the gift certificate, $16.30 if you oop. there might be tax, too. hope that helps.

We have used these before and love them! Yes, there are stipulations (no alcohol at most, minimum purchase, even no pizza at our Johnny's NY pizza!), but that has forced us to branch out and try new things or restaurants in exchange for a great deal! The restaurants typically re-load on the first of the month, so check back next week to find the most popular restaurants. I always double check that they are still accepting these before we order to avoid getting hit with a large bill!

Be careful and read the fine print on each restaurant is different
I have one restaurant that offers me 50%total bill the only restriction is NO SUNDAYS so I went with my family of 7 bill was $45 we paid only $29 with tax and we take some dessert to go.

be careful with this site! last time there was a deal like this, i never got my certificate posted in my account , and never got a notification via email. i was charged $1.50 when the deal was $2 ??? and never recouped the money - paypal said because it was an electronic transaction that they could not verify this. Restaurant.com responded to me with generic emails. Only lost $1.50 but it makes me question the validity of this company.

They are good for one year. It is a great deal if you buy them on sale. I stock up when the go 80-90% off. There are stipulations as with any big discount. There are some that aren't too bad and i stick to those. When they are on sale though, they are a good deal. I just want to add that this is a reputable and anytime i have had a problem they have handled it immediately and were happy to do so.

I used one last month for the first time and we LOVED it! After the tax and 18% tip we spent about what we would have on a no frills dinner...but got appetizers, drinks and desserts!

Does anyone know if the 12 coupons for the Dinner of the Month club are all at the same restaurant? I'm assuming yes, but want to verify before I choose to buy it. (And I guess I'd better like that reaturant...LOL!)

I am just wondering... How long is this promotion good for. My favorite restaurant is sold out and it says "won't be available until the 1st of the month." Will this promotion be good in a week?

Thank you - I bought one for $2 at a local restaurant. Can wait to use it!

FYI - Restaurant.com apparently does some business with some shady partners. After you make an order, there will be a "banner" that looks like it's not a banner and looks like it's associated with Restaurant.com and it's not. It's offering an additional gift card.

Well, long story short, simply by clicking on that banner - even if you turn around and go right back or exit out- "MVS-SHOPESSPLUS" will pull your credit card info from Restaurant.com and start charging you $19.95 a month!

Anyways, called the company and they said they'd refund the first charge but they wouldn't refund the first. I told them that was fine because I'd be disputing the charge with my bank. Talked to the bank and she told me they see 10-15 of these a week! Said no problem, they'd take care of it but had to cancel my card etc. mini mess but irritating.

Oye. WATCH YOUR STATEMENTS even when you only do business with "reputable" online places.

And i asked about the one time use credit card numbers for online use and my bank doesn't do those. :(
