I mentioned previously about a sweet upcoming Snow White deal at Walmart? Quite a few of you emailed asking if there were any other in-store promotions! Well, guess what? There is...

As most of you know, the new Snow White Diamond Edition DVD/Blu Ray combo will be released on Tuesday, October 6. Toys R Us will have the movie on sale for $19.99--similar to Walmart's price. In addition, advertised in their weekly ad (starting Sunday), you can score a FREE Snow White Royal Baking Set with ANY $25 Disney Princess Purchase (Snow White DVD is pictured in the ad).

Deal Scenario:
Buy 1 Snow White Diamond Edition DVD/Blu Ray combo $19.99
Buy at least $5.01 in a Disney Princess Filler to get your total up to $25
Total around $25
Use the $10 Snow White Coupon from here: IE or Firefox
Final cost $15 for the Snow White Diamond Edition, $5 in other Disney Princess items and a Royal baking Set!

i am so confused because i am also reading that if you preorder the snow white movie before it comes out you get a $5 gift card. I am new to this preordering but wondering if you preorder it, if you still qualify for the free bake set. Maybe if I preorder 2, and use 2 of the 10$ off coupons, and get 2 $5 gift cards, then on Otober 6th would i get the free bake set. humph

Mrs Save Alot said...

plus plus plus...if you use the 10 off coupon, and preorder it and get and extra 5 off, then submit for the rebate...you would get the movie for free and a free bake set right? HOLY COW this cant be true..

Baker Tribe said...

but isn't the preorder just you paying $5 to hold your copy?

Amber said...

Does anyone know which baking set it is? Is it the Disney Princess Snow White Gooseberry Pie Baking Set that is listed on Toys R Us's website for $12.99?

Mrs Save Alot said...

yes, but it says if you preorder it, you get a $5 gift card when you pick up the movie. So that would bring your price down to $4.99 after the gift card and the $10 coupon, then use the hefty rebate for $5.00 and you are free. right?

Lindsey said...

On the TRU website, it shows the Blue ray/dvd combo to be 29.99 and the 2 disc dvd set to be 19.99.
I'm not sure what tomorrows add will show.

Is the pdf rebate form good? It reads that photocopies won't be honored? Where can I get the original form????

Dana said...

I don't about these deals, but Meijer has the pack for 24.99. Use the $10 off coupon and that makes it 14.99 PLUS you get a FREE princess Barbie type doll.

Anonymous said...

my only hope is that toys r us does not try to say your cost must be $25 after coupons and what not..i'm going to go on tuesday to try to get this deal...if anyone has any issues, please let us know!

molly said...

Doesn't the coupon state save $10 on blu-ray OR DVD- so we should be able to use this on just the DVD, right?

Mrs Save Alot said...

going right now...i will let u kinow when I get back. i am going to preorder the movie and pay for it today so that I can get the free baking set...this is going to be tricky. I am going to do 2 movies so that my total before coupons willbe $40 and after coupons will be $20. Then get the $5.00 gift certificates when i pick up the movie. we shall c.

Mrs Save Alot said...

ok so i went to TRU,spoke to the manager, I preordered the 2 dvds and bought the baking set. you have to buy the baking set today and pay the $5 deposit on each DVD, the manager said when I go back to get the DVD they will refund me the money for the baking set since I spent the $25 on princess items, then I get $5 gift card for each DVD for preordering it, then I will use my coupons, and get both DVD's and the baking set for a grand total of $10....plus I can submit for the mail in rebate to get $10 in rebates (you can only submit one rebate per household so I will use my moms address and info) so for free I got 2 dvd's and a princess baking set....just get the managers name, as I did, so that on Tuesday when I go pick it up I dont run into any hitches. YAY this is a great deal!!!!

Mrs Save Alot said...

oh and thw price is for the dvd or blue ray!!! 19.99

mrssave alot .....great job! my brain is bleeding just trying to understand this deal though lol!

Mrs. Save alot
Don't ypui have to get the DVD & Hefty item at the same time? Also, are you going to have the cashier print 2 receipts so that you can sumbit it for you & your mom?

KellyG said...

To the poster that questioned having to purchase the Hefty and the dvd at the same time, take a look at the rebate form lines 3 and 4. I believe that because it lists "attach a receipt" for each item separately, that the items can be purchased at different times. Also, it gives a different date range for each one as well.

Example:
3) Submit cash register receipt dated between 10/6/09 and 1/31/10 with store name and item circled from Walt
Disney’s Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition Blu-ray™ or DVD (photocopies acceptable).
4) Submit cash register receipt dated between 9/22/09 and 1/31/10 with store name and item circled from
One (1) participating Hefty® Plate, Easy Grip® Cup or Baggies® product (photocopies acceptable).

where does it say you get a $5 gc for preordering the dvd's? am i missing it?

Anonymous said...

Mrs Saves a LOT..you got a GREAT deal!! Cause I just called my TRU and they said no...I had asked if I can use the movies towards the bake set (which they have only 1 now!) and they said no, it has to be a Disney Princess toy set not the movie. And she said that the gift cards can't be used for another 6 hours after purchase. At least that's what this one said...I should call another store...hmmm...!!

Anonymous said...

Can you use two of the $10 off coupons on the same order for two dvd's? I'll have to look at the coupon again when I go to my car but I thought I remember it saying one coupon per order

Lindsey said...

I got mine today. i/ paid for the bake sets and they will refund it when I pick up the movie on Tuesday. The add states free with 25 dollar princess purchase. It doesn't say it has to be a toy. The dvd does count towards that purchase. The 5$ gift card coupon can be found at the store in a display box by their dvd's.

Kimberly said...

What happens if I happen to have a $5 off $25 purchase coupon? :)

Just thought I'd make all your heads spin a little more. . . :)

Mrs Save Alot said...

yes, the $5 gift card can be found on the preorder tag that you use when you preorder it, the bakeset says Princess Purchase not toy, I would talk to a manager if they are giving you a problem with that one, and also the coupon says one per item, it does not say one per transaction so you should be able to use 2 in one transaction. This is a confusing deal, but a good one. oh and I know it was addressed already but you dont have to but the HEfty item at the same time, it can be at a differnt store. ;-) yay

Dana said...

Kimbery- Thanks for making my head spin, because I forgot I had one of those coupons! This sounds like a much better deal than Meijer. But will someone please help me understand this $5 gift card pre-order thing? I am so confused. Do you pay for it and everything to "pre order" it? Where did you find this out, because I am not seeing anything about that in the ad. Thanks.

Lindsey said...

You find the 5$ preorder card at TRU in the dvd section. You only pay 5$. Then, On Tuesday when it is released in the stores, you go pick it up and use the 10$ coupon that we printed off and you will have a 4.99 balance. Then, when it is paid off you also get a 5$ TRU gift card for preordering it. It is a little confusing. I think that it is also best to pick up the snow white baking set and your 5.01 or more in other princess merchandise (to get the baking set for free you have to buy 25$ or more in princess items... the dvd, 19.99 plus 5.01$).You will have to pay for the baking set today. Then, on tuesday, bring back your receipt and they will refund you the price of the baking set
(12.99) once you have paid the balance on the dvd. The 5$ gift card deal ends Tomorrow. Hope this helps.

Kristin said...

So I went today too and the DVD's do count tword your $25 purchase for the bake set. It even says in the computer. I didn't buy the bake set today not knowing how it will work when I pick up the movie Tuesday. So today I just paid $5 to reserve it. When I go back in Tuesday I will use the coupon and get the bake set then along with the $5 GC. If they have no more bake sets I think a good movie for free is still a great deal (after the coupon, $5 GC, and mail in $5 rebate) Good gifts!

jenn said...

why does it say I've already printed this coupon when I havent?

Anonymous said...

I'm going to TRU today and doing the P&G deal and reserving the movie... Then today I'll get a $10 gift card to pay for the movie tomorrow!!!!!

Anonymous said...

can we still pre-order today? please let us know. thanks..

Anonymous said...

I called up to the store here in Arkansas and the manager said the movie does not go toward princess purchase of $25. Has anyone been told differently?

Laurie said...

if you go to toysrus website and look up the dvd Snow White it DOES say you can get the baking set with it.

Mrs Save Alot said...

hey guys..today is the last day to preorder. Yes the site does say that you can get the baking set free..here is a link. I am printing it off and bringing it with me tomorrow so in case they give me a hard time.

I will update tomorrow when I get home.

Thanks MrsSavesAlot! I called up my local TRU and they said they believe it did not count towards the purchase. The manager said that they were willing to try. If it goes through then great, if not, well then no lose. But now that I can print out this from the website it should held out a bit.
One question though. It says the DVD will be 19.99. Isn't the $10 coupon for the Diamond Edition combo?

J Parris said...

I bought the sleeping beauty dvd today at TRU and got the free baking set so the snow white will work great and my TRU said as long as it goes thru then it is fine with them. They also said that if it was excluding the dvd's that it would say so on the ad and it doesn't!

Amber said...

I have a couple questions.

1) How do I get 2 TRU receipts?

2) Does anyone have any deals for the Hefty items. Any Q's out there and a good store to get the item from?

I am SOO excited for tomorrow. I have already gotten a few free gifts for my 21 month old. What a deal!!!

Mrs Save Alot said...

ok guys...i clicked on the web site and clicked on the terms of the free bake set. It has a list of the items that are included in the "princess products" Snow white DVD is in there. Here is the link..so that if these TRU try to tell you it is not included you can be armed with what they have listed on the own web site of what is included...

here is the link

A lot of toys r us stores will not accept internet coupons. I was not able to use my leap frog last week. Just forwarning....

J Parris said...

I have used several coupons.com coupons and leapfrog coupons there and they always gladly accept them as long as they scan! BUT I DID ASK MY TRU TONIGHT AND THE $25 IS AFTER COUPONS THEY SAID YOUR TOTAL YOUR PAYING HAS TO BE $25 OR MORE!

Mrs Save Alot said...

isnt it crazy that each story says what they want, and has different policies. My store said that you can do it because the price before coupons is over 25. Un Be Leavable! I cant wait to read all about it tomrrow and see if my store changes their tune. lol

Hi there! Thanks for all of the great information! I blogged about it and gave you linky credit.

I wanted to tell you that I found another site to print off a $10.00 coupon: I provided the link:

http://www.xpbargains.com/index.php/send_deal/119933

It works: I was able to print off 2of the coupons. **UPDATE** I went back on the site and was able to print off 2 more. It appears that there is no set print limit.

If any of your readers want some more of these coupons, I have about 4 that I will gladly send to them. They can just go to my blog and use send me an email (address is on my Profile Page.

Ok so I just got back...no problems at all with the deal. the only thing was that they did not give me the gift cards...i had to go to customer service and they were not sure why the preorder gift cards did not come off, but they gave me a gift cacrd for $10.66 and they said that they would figure out the problem, something about having to pick up the DVD at customer service or something, so if you preordered just go direct to customer service. They had a ton of bake sets also. GREAT DEAL!!! Cant wait to hear how you all make out. DOnt forget your print off that the snow white DVD is included in the princess deal to get the free baks set! yay!

Mrs Save Alot said...

oh and yes, they did take the bake set price off from when I paid for it the other day with the preorder. No problems..they didnt even question that you had to buy $25 worth of stuff and my total was only only spent $10 OOP today. $19.99 minus the $5.00 deposit i paid the other day=$15.00 per DVD, minus the $10.00 coupon for the DVD was $5.00 per DVD. Total was $10. Oh and if you are going to go...go soon, there was a line at my TRU to get in before it even opened!

Anonymous said...

I just got back. I bought the DVD, and a pair of dress up shoes (total 25.99 before coupon) and the baking set did not come up free. I went to the service desk and was told it was 25 after coupons. I talked to the manager and she told me they were wrong and gave me the baking set for free. So, if you have a problem ask to talk to the manager.

I went today to do this deal and had success. I think. TRU and BRU have some confusing receipts. My TRU even had the $10 off coupon printed out and sitting beside the DVDs. I did 2 transactions. In both I got a blu-ray DVD, a toy to get up to $25, and the baking set. I was able to use the $10 off coupon and I got back a $5 gift card on each transaction. I have no idea why I got the gift cards? I did not pre order or anything.

Mariah said...

After studying my receipt a little more, I see where the $5 g.c. came in. They charged me $14.99 for the movie and then $5 for a 'value card promo'

Joe said...

I preordered 3 at TrU and not only did I get the bakeset free, I got $15 ($5 x 3) for preordering...

2 movies were for a coworker so I basically got paid a bakeset, and $5 for the movie since I paid $10 for the movie, but got $15 in a GC (yes, I kept the GC as it was my "convenience fee" for buying the items at the store)

(wreckedher) said...

ok, here is how i made out. I was able to use a 15% off any 1 baby item coupon and a $5 off $25.

For $15.01 (including tax) i got:
Snow White DVD/Blue-ray
Bake Set
Princess dress up shoes
1st Birthday Onesie for my son

I used $9.06 remianing on gift card from the Wateroo rebate, paid $5.95 OOP and got a $5 gift card back!

AND i got the last bake set in Wichita, KS!

JParris said...

I went to TRU and was able to get the dvd and the bake set together not buying a filler item since it is originally $29.99 it works at the register with the free bake set. I paid $6.40 with tax because I used the $5 gift card I got with my dvd. My TRU was also giving the gift cards out even if you did not preorder the dvd. GREAT DEAL FOR A DVD AND FREE BAKE SET! I was able to keep rolling the deal and only paid $22.40 out of pocket for 4 dvd's 4 free bake set's and a snow white doll I got with my left over 2 gift cards!

Christy Wong said...

I went to Toys R Us today to get my snow white dvds. I did not preorder the dvds, but they still gave me a $5 gift card for each dvd I purchased. I purchased 5 dvds and got the free baking set.(I would have broken my purchase up to get more baking sets, but they only had one left). They let me use all 5 coupons for $10 off on the purchase. I paid $56 with tax and got back a gift card for $25. So, I basically paid $5 per dvd (plus tax), and I got a free baking set. What a great deal!

Michelle & Luke said...

AHHH! even better deal! I bought the dvd for $19.99 plus $5.99 princess shoes. That qualified me for the FREE snow white bake set. I used a $10 IP for the dvd, AND FOR SOME REASON THEY GAVE ME A FIVE DOLLAR TRU GIFT CARD BACK TOO!!! woohoo! OOP was $15.98, plus I got a $5 gc plus I can use the hefty AND kernels rebate which makes the movie and shoes and bake set FREE! woohoo

Casey and Kimberly said...

Just a thought!! Any TRU that says they don't accept IP coupons.....well the add clearly states $9.99 with coupon printed from internet and gives you the website to print it from! :)

Mrs Save Alot said...

what is going on with TRU? I just went back with 3 coupons to get 3 more Blue Rays...my DH convinced me to go get 3 more...so i get a bake set and 3 DVD's, use my 2 IP coupons, and my total is $15 plus tax...then they give me a gift card for $15!!! ummmmmm somehting is up with their computers, but I say take advantage of this one because this deal can not get any better! HOLY COW!!!

Mrs Save Alot said...

oops I meant used my 3 IP coupns

I was at TRU yesterday. Bought the DVD, a pair of princess shoes for 6 dollars. I got the bonus bakeware set for free and was able to use the 10 coupon. 17ish OOP.

I also made a fellow shopper extremely happy by handing her a second 10 dollar coupon that I had. I love bringing extra coupons when I shop to hand out to other shoppers. I also printed a couple of extra 20% off childrens place coupons when I shopped there.
