Walgreens: $0.49 Almay Bright Eyes Cosmetics!

If you're an Almay cosmetics fan, then you'll be excited to know about a sweet deal you can score at Walgreens! Currently, all Almay cosmetics are on a buy one get one free sale! Plus, the October Walgreens coupon booklet has a $3/1 Almay Bright Eyes cosmetics coupon inside!

Deal Scenario:
Buy two Almay Bright Eyes Cosmetic Products $8.99 each
Minus BOGO sale=$8.99 for both
Use 2 $1/1 Almay manufacturer coupons from the 8/2 or 9/13SS
Plus, use the $3/1 Walgreens coupon from the October coupon booklet
(will deduct $6 since you're purchasing two)
Final cost $0.49 each!

**Even if you don't have the $1/1 manufacturer coupons, you'll still only be paying $1.50 per item! Also, remember that if you purchase 2, 4, 6 or more of these in one transaction, you will still ONLY need to use one Walgreens $3/1 coupon. It will deduct $3 off each item you purchase--no matter how many you snag!

(Thanks, Rachel!)

My almay coupon is expired. BOO!

I've gotten about 6 of these so far. I just wish I had gotten more $1.00 coupons. I really like the eye pencil.

My almay coupon is expired to :(

Even without extra coupon this is a good deal. I will have to pick up some for my mom for christmas basket.

Abby said...

I totally snagged these to put together a make up kit for my little tween for Christmas! Thanks!

There are actually two sets of coupons. One that expires 10/18 and another one that expires 10/24 with verbiage something about intense eye collection but still states for any almay cosmetics which works well with no beep. I was able to snag 16 of these today. Yayyyyyy!

I believe these are the promotional item for the cashiers at the beauty counter too.

my area has always been like Fernandos, can only use one coupon for a BOGO purchase, kudos to anonymous who was able to buy 16!

I would like your opinions- I have a few Zantac's that I won't use- my husband suggested taking them to walmart in exchange for a gift card in the store. Walmart would not be gaining or losing anything since they can resell them. Is this dishonest?

IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION:

You would not be second guessing yourself if you truly thought it was honest, let along asking someone else for their opinion. Follow your heart and remember: what comes around goes around!

Anonymous said...

yeah, thanks. That's what my husband said after I started questioning it

Anonymous said...

I know I got the theraflu at Walgreens even though we will never use it so I plan on donating it. That would be a great idea for your extra Zantac. You get to make some money and can help someone in need on top of that!

maybe give them to someone in your family or a friend! i dont use them but my mom is loving them :)

I couldn't find the Almay coupon so I went through ALL my ss and rp coupon booklet in despiration and still couldn't find it. ={

Kristin said...

Linda - I didn't get it either. It must of been regional

Anonymous said...

we didn't get the almay coupon either:( we miss all the good cosmetic coupons where we live.

Mom Who Cares said...

I don't have the almay coupons either - my fault, I didnt feel like clipping a lot of coupons that week. Lesson learned lol. But, I still got a great deal with out the $1.00 coupons -

Linda said...

$1.50 per item is still a great buy, I suppose that couponing has spoiled me "just a little" though and just knowing I "could have" saved more pinches a bit. I'm getting a couple regardless!
This web site is priceless, that's for sure. :)

hey guys, never throw away your inserts, just file them by date and you can find those coupons later!

also, be sure to buy the biggest newspaper you get in your area. I live in a smaller town in central Illinois, but I buy the Chicago Tribune rather than the small town paper, because the Tribune has ALL the great coupons! I used to miss out on coupons all the time, and now I hardly ever do!

Anonymous said...

Where do you all usually buy your bigger city newspapers. I don't live near any big cities so I go to a local gas station to get my extras.

Anonymous said...

I live in central IL and our local paper has barely any coupons. The Chicago Tribune has tons of coupons. I buy my tribune at CVS-around here they charge $2 and $3 for the same paper at Walgreens.

Courtney said...

I can relate. When i know i could have saved a few more cents or dollars it bugs me lol. Couponing has me spoiled.

the almay coupons i have don't expire til the 24th of oct, but it says for the almay intense i-color collection.

Kristin said...

I live in Tulsa, OK and the Tulsa paper typically has fewer coupons than the Oklahoma City paper so I buy that but we STILL miss out on a lot of coupons. Oklahoma in general misses out on a lot of great deals.

Anonymous said...

Hi Anon,

The coupon for the intense i-collection works. Actually the coupon also reads for any almay product. Hope this helps.

Didn't think I had the Almay coupons. So I decided to do my weekly cleaning of my binder. I found 2 woohoo!! I will go tomorrow and get 2. Great deal.

Don't want to stir up any trouble but....How is getting Almay for .49 each different from getting chocolate for .24? When Almay put out that coupon they did not expect you to get there product for that cheap either. Just food for thought. No limits either as long as you have the coupon. Not arguing please, just curios.

Anonymous said...

anon 9:30, thank you. i just read the coupon again. der.. lol.

Kristin said...

Andrea A - I'm not one of the ones who had a problem with 0.24 chocolate so I'm not defending that person or starting an argument either but I did want to point out that the difference between Almay and Fannie May is that Fannie May is directly losing money by honoring those orders whereas Walgreens is the one losing money with the Almay deal. It's the Walgreens BOGO sale and the Walgreens $3.00 Q which makes the deal so great. Almay is only going to be out the $1.08 it costs them to reimburse Wags. Almay got their money a long time ago when Walgreens bought their product from them. Anyways, like I said not trying to stir anything up but just pointing out that the analogy isn't really accurate.

Save2day.blogspot.com said...

I have not gone to Walgreens yet, but I am going to try this deal out.

KariY said...

That certain Almay coupon is confusing, and I ended up getting into a discussion with a Target manager over it. The Q says "Intense Eye Collection" but also says "Any Almay Product" (or something similar). I think that the Q is meant to *promote* the certain product line, but is valid on any Almay product.

Anonymous said...

kari, i think you're right.

Andrea A. said...

Just a note. BOGO sales are sometimes sent down from manufactures as well as sale prices. They offer the product to the stores cheaper in order for the sales to be available. Not all the time but a lot of the time. This directly applies to vendor products as well. It all goes through corporate headquarters but the wheeling and dealing behind the scenes gets us all great products with little OOP.

Black friday deals work this way as well. Yes stores lose some money but corporate also bought the items at a great discount from companies that want people to buy there brands. This is why several stores will have the same items on sale. They have the same parent company or manufacturers they buy from.

Not a big deal. It's all written off as a loss.

Andrea A. said...

Oh by the way blackfriday.com has there first(all be it bad, somewhat inacurate) add.

Thanks! I just went and got mine at lunch. I also used my $1 Discover coupons. I found an inexpensive filler so my total was just .78 for both. :)

MomDG said...

I don't have the Almay coupon, but a perfect opportunity to use some of my $1 RR. Linda -- couponing does not have you spoiled, it has made you think smarter about your purchases. My family used to laugh at me, now they always ask, do you have a coupon for this? Most of the time, my answer is yes!

Anonymous said...

We miss out on some of the better coupons too---so I often order them from The Coupon Clippers or Coupons By Dede. It's also helpful if there are just a couple of coupons in the inserts that you want extras of w/o buying whole extra Sunday papers.

Anonymous said...

MOM DG, AREN'T YOU SICK TODAY. GO BACK TO BED.

Anonymous said...

humm drats! The Almay Bright Eyes $3 Q I had...the prob? My Walgreens didn't have that kind on BOGO! Only the Intense Eye Collection to the left of it :(

Miss out on this one!

Your deals worked like a charm (as usual)! I went to Walgreens today and purchased 2 almay items, 4 bags of ricola drops and some halloween pencils (for filler) and my total before tax was $.01! Thanks Colin!!! Keep Up The Great Deal Postings!!!

shelby said...

doesn't work in this area..i only received $3 off the two almay products not $6. i also cant use two coupons on a BOGO item. i want to move! :-)

Unknown said...

I bought 2 Almay products today, one was $8.99 and the other product was $7.99 I believe. with the BOGO i rcvd $7.99 off but then when i went to give my coupons it only let me have $3.00 off one time instead of $6.00..that really stinks, was hoping to score some almost free makeup...

Unknown said...

Went late tonight and got mine. I love to try new makeup but hate to pay the prices. Got 2 items for 49 cents each - can't complain about that! Thanks for the post!

Anonymous said...

Can you help? Nothing at my store says that Almay is B1G1, where is this sale advertised. I didn't see it in this weeks circular either and if I can't "prove" it, it becomes a fight.
Thanks!
