Anyone know if the gillette fusion is still rolling?

Anonymous said...

Yes, Gillette Fusion is still rolling as of yesterday.

Also - the new link for the sheer infusion is out of prints, but I had a $1 off any Vaseline product in the 10/18 Red Plum. Silly me, I thought I was done buying the lotion!

Can you do both the Triaminic deal and the Theraflu deal? You have "or" between them and I am new to the Walgreens deals. Do I have to do them in separate transactions to get the RR? Thanks so much - love your blog!

Anonymous said...

can someone pls explain register rewards to me? is it money OFF at the register or do you have to pay and you get a coupon on next purchase so its "LIKE" getting that product for the deal scenario price?

also, if its a coupon u get AFTER paying the oop, is it specifically for the product that was a register reward or is it anything your buying?

one more thing, if you have multiple rr's (assuming its a coupon on next purchase) and its NOT for a specific item, for example i go to walgreens the next day and get some random thing, and I have 10.00 in assorted rr coupons can i use them all and just get some random crap for 10bucks "free" with all the misc RR coupons?

hope someone out there can follow my q's

Hey Everyone, I am sorry but I just have to vent. I haven't done much at Walgreens lately and life has been so nice! Then I finally made a trip for all the monthy RRs and was so reminded of why I hate going to Walgreen.

On my first transaction I had to tell the cashier how to enter the coupons because he was clueless. So on the next couple transactions I decided to use the other cashier.

The first transaction with her went fine. I was getting baby powder and hall on all the transactions and on the second one with her she told me I was committing coupon fraud and that if it printed a coupon for those items she was going to have to keep it.

I just feel like Walgreens makes you jump through a thousand hoops just to get a confused cashier who treats you like a criminal. My kids are young now but what are they going to think when they get older and the cashier are accusing Mom of fraud in front of everyone?

From reading the comments is seem like everyone has their troubled store. But Walgreens is mine and is almost to frustrating to have fun and coupon at.

Collin, it is funny because that blog you did a couple days ago was just for me about rekindling the coupon passion. I just need to weigh the pros of free or close to free stuff with the frustration sometimes.

Thanks for letting me vent. I could not do without this blog!

I know alot fo people have issues with Walgreens, but I have been loving Walgreens lately. Its a little more work to figure out the RR scenarios, but its way worth it to me. I have gotten so much for free and have a nice stack of RR's to roll every week. Sometimes I end up with more RR's than I started with and my OOP expenses are usually around $2 or less each transaction. I LOVE Walgreens! :)

Alyssa,
I feel badly for your experience. My Walgreen's is GREAT! The cashiers are all very friendly and helpful, some more than others.
I did have one of them point out that you cannot use the RR's for dairy or gift cards. I never read the fine print and I was trying to but milk. She still let me she just said "next time" they may not let you.

My worst store is Target, I get so nervous every time I use coupons there. It hasn't been too bad yet, but I feel I hold back on some purchases and could do better. I just want to avoid any confrontation. I HATE it when they have to call a manager over and everyone behind you in line is giving you the "Evil eye".

are there any gas x coupons to print to use with the RR deal this week??

To Anon: There is a guide to shopping at Walgreens on the right side of the hip2save home page. It is so helpful and will answer all your questions. Also, watch the 'Follow Me Monday' on Walgreens. These both helped me so much and made shopping at Walgreens much less confusing and stressful.

Colin- We tried the Indiana Kettle Corn based on your recommendation from your follow me video! It was awesome...we are totally going to stock up now that it is one sale again. I can't believe it's $4 regular price....

Tegan said...

There are a few peelies for $1.50 on Bayer Aspirin with phytosterols. If this item is included in the sale, the coupon would make it 49 cents stacked with Walgreens in-ad coupon. Inside the package, there's also a $1 coupon printed on it. Thus, becareful when opening the package!!

My Wags has Nestle bags of candy 2/$4. combine that with the 2 - $1 coupons shown in the CVS deals you score these bags of candy for $1 each.

Lenna said...

I, too, LOVE Walgreens! We have great checkers @ all 4 that I frequent. I feel bad for those of you with bad experiences.

So, is the Oral B toothbrush still on RR or not. I picked up a stack of $2 off @ my dentists office the other day. She said, "Take as many as you want." So I did. Anyone know for sure if it's still on or not?

Anonymous said...

Hey Colin just wanted to thank you for your hard work and I'm going to try the kettle corn this week based on your recomendation!

There is a $.50 off Northern Toilet Paper in the Walgreen's October Savings Booklet.

nicole corry said...

can you mix and match theraflu and triaminic for the register reward seeing as you can only print two coupons?

Anonymous said...

The $.50 off nothern is for the 12 count and its the 9 count that is on sale I believe.

Anonymous said...

Tori there is $2 coupon for gas x in the October savings book

Unknown said...

I have used the $1 off any Johnson's product for the baby powder and not had any problems, making it a moneymaker!!!

Mary said...

I also bought 2 of the 45 count of Ecotrin for $3.49 each and used a $2 coupon and a "Buy 2 and save $7 coupon" from this last weeks paper (handed over the $2 one first) and made a $2 profit to put towards the diaper deal they were having last week!

Please ANYONE answer this question. How does the register rewards program work? I have never used it before and I am VERY interested. Help!!!!!

zantac coupon link is dead :(

Steph said...

ANon: Please review Collin's site. She, thoroughly, gives you ALL the information you need on each store, coupon policies, what RRs, rebates, etc. YOu will find the information on the right-side of her site. YOu will find a guide that every beginner can use. (sarah mentioned this previously the comments above.)

Anonymous said...

Nicole-

I'm pretty sure you can't mix and match the triaminc and the theraflu deal....but I'm going in later this morning and can tell you by looking at my RRs...but to be on the safe side, since they are in the same "deal" in the ad for Wags, I would think you couldn't use them together.

Anonymous said...

Anon on 10/17 at 9:19 AM...you cann't use a $5 coupon and a $2 peelie as they are both manufacturer coupons...you can only use one (unless the peelie was a Wags coupon, but I've never seen a peelie that is Wags)

A better idea would be to buy something to reach 8.99 that generates a RR

Anonymous said...

$5 Zantac is dead. :(

Anonymous said...

Is the Trident coupon a regional coupon?? We didn't get it in our paper here in TX!

Anonymous said...

I'm new to Walgreens shopping. The last few times I've been there I've bought 2 items, used 2 manufactures coupons and 2 register rewards and the cashier told me my items bought have to equal the number of coupons I use. If I wanted to use 4 coupons, I needed to have 4 items purchased. Is this correct. They've done this at 2 of my local walgreens so I've ended up throwing in 2 filler items, which I don't really like doing.

Anonymous said...

anon-

yes that is correct. you need the same # of items as you do coupons...but you can usually find really cheap filler items, so I don't think it's a big loss in terms of money spent

Anonymous said...

The $5 Zantac coupon is dead. Anyone know of anymore Zantac coupons?

Anonymous said...

Great FILLER ITEMS-

I have seen thumb size highlighters in the clearance aisle for $0.15, also the full size highlighters for $0.25. Always looking for useful or super cheap fillers, any other ideas?

Good luck!

Anonymous said...

Also, the Russell Stovers individual choc candies, cheap & tasty. great way to use up my $4 Huggies RR from last week.

Anonymous said...

I am very frustrated with my Walgreens this morning! I had a really great scenario worked out for rolling my RR and Step 1 failed me :-( I was all set and ready to go with the Zantac $5 coupon. I also had a $1 RR from some candy last week. So...I bought the Zantac, used the $5 off coupon, bought a cheap pencil to use as a filler so I could use my $1 RR, and ended up paying $3 and some change. Great. Well--the $9 Zantac catalina didn't print out. The cashier then got another woman to come up and she first said "Oh, you didn't get it because you used another RR". I told her that it was from candy, not the same product, and she told me that didn't matter. THEN, she said, "oh and you used a coupon, you can't do that, it would be like we were paying you $5 if you got the RR". Uh, hello--that's the point. I finally got fed up and just left!

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else having issues using the Zantac coupon? It's not true that you can't use RR to pay and still get RR back on the new products is it?

Anonymous said...

I bought Benefiber and Gas-X today. The deal is buy $30 and get $10 RR. My total for these items was exactly $30. The RR did not print. I bought a lot of stuff and did not notice till I got to the car that I was missing the $10 RR. I went back in and they returned those items and then re-bought them and still no RR came out! So frustrating...I have to send away for the RR and it takes 6-8 weeks according to the form.

Anonymous said...

Ricola offer...can you use both the Walgreens in-ad coupon 2/$3 AND $.50 off Walgreens Healthy Savings Booklet? Anyone try this yet? Thank you. :)

Anonymous said...

I went to Walgreens today to get the Glade 2 oz candles since they have the RR and my CVS in N.CA isn't doing the ECB on the 3 wick candle. I couldn't print either of the coupons Collin had posted. It said I reached the limit even though the last time I printed one was for the last RR at Walgreens. I ended buying the 2 oz soy candles and used a $1/2 coupon and noticed the 3 wick candles were on a Megasaver for $4.99. I bought one of those used a $3.00 coupon. The cashier was really nice and didn't have a problem ringing the candles separately. The 2oz candles weren't the best deal, but I can them on the SC Johnson rebate along with the 3 wick candle on another one.

Anon 2:06 -

Yes, both of the ricola cpns work together

Anonymous said...

Zantac from ss website said
This coupon is no longer available - Thank you for your interest.

Anonymous said...

So I am I understanding this right? With the coupoons from the Healthy Savings Booklet, you don't need 6 coupons for six of the same items? you only need one and it automatically applies itself to all six of the identical items?

Becky said...

Yes with the Healthy savings coupon book you only need one coupon and it will take the $6 off ($2 off each 3).
I just went tonight and checked the Triaminic and Theraflu and they are both made by Novaris so you won't be able to roll them.

Unknown said...

WOW...just got back from WAGS....I have only done this once before, but tonight, I made $7 profit....and got the following:

3 theraflu liquid
4 trident layers gum
2 baby powder
3 triaminic liquid
2 vaseline sheer infusion lotion
2 pert 2 in 1 shamp / conditioner
2 chapstick fresh effects
2 zantac 24 ct
2 lysol toilet bowl cleaners
4 glade candles
2 airwick imotion starter kits
playtex sport tampons
generic disposable razors (filler)
5 mini highlighters (fillers)
eyeliner (filler)
lipliner (filler)
6 halloween pencils (fillers)

I started with $5 register rewards and $7 cash...and rolled everything else in multiple transactions....and came home with $14 RR for next time...so, all free, + $7 profit roughly...and thank goodness for my wonderful cashier....the beeps kept flying, and she just kept going :) Me = 1, walgreens register = 0

Cydne said...

Anon with the Zantac question, your RR should have printed, the lady behind you was WRONG. You could call the catalina company and they should send you the RR. Maybe someone else can help you with the number.

J said...

Anon 11:47- all the Walgreens near me (northeast) are the same NIGHTMARE. I buy very little there now becasue it's not worth the frustration.

If I use a MQ the cashiers warn me that I won't get a RR (and I usually don't get it!!!). If I use a RR to pay for a DIFFERENT item in another transcation the RR usually doesn't print.

I tried to do the Trident gum deal tonight and was told by the manager it was "against the law" to use the BOGO coupon along w/ a MQ even though I was getting 2 packs of gum.

I had to refrain from asking the manager to "please pull his head out of his A**" .

I have a CVS near that price matches and all my CVS' are so nice about coupons. I much prefer it there.

I know lots of people post about issues w/ Target, but luckily the ones near me are great.

i got three theraflus and used the 8 dollar reward to get 3 clear care contact solution (the only kind i can use) and the rr didnt print out bc it was in the same deal. so i had to void the deal and rebuy it all lol. so be careful!
