I can't make the Recession game play to get my coupon for the cans of tomato. Any one else have a problem with that?

shelby said...

i played also and saw no link to press for coupons

Can I use the Free Herbal Essence Coupon from earlier this month with a bogo coupon?

Jana said...

Recession game didn't work for me either.

Anonymous said...

that game takes FOREVER to play..but once you pick your 2 "fighters" you will see a progress bar on the bottom of that page going ever so slow.

Basically, leave that window open and open a new one to be able to continue your other websites. Once that loads..it will say something like start the fight at the bottom. Click and again wait for that bar to load.

Then it will bring you to the guy you are fighting. Use the mouse to punch him while he says something like "that all you got!" lol..when it tells ya..use the space bar to use your special move on him. My guy was the popcorn guy so he sprayed him with popcorn lol. Once thats done..you will be able to click on the character that reps the item you want.

Takes quite awhile, but it will load it eventually. And its kinda cute and funny.

Anon,

I'm pretty sure thats the coupons I used together at Target. I used the buy shampoo and conditioner get a free styler. Then I had a coupon for $1.00 off any hair care item. And the screen said no. I told her it was for the 2 I was not getting free..and she said it might be because she had already scanned a manufacturer coupon for that item. But she was sweet and put it through anyway :)

I have a $2 print out coupon from Walgreens for Johnson & Johnson First Aid products! That could be a money maker!

I have about $50 in RR from last weeks deals and they expire this week and none of these deals seem worth the spending - I do not really ever use a RR unless I get about the same amount back - so I float them each week to gaurentee I am getting a great deal.

darn -

I guess I am going to have to sit down to figure out something that will work out, to bad I don't have the 8/2 coupons - the johnsons first aid stuff seemed to be the only way to use my RR and get new ones back with out a real loss.

P&G - Look inside some of your favorite P&G brands, including pampers, Tide powder, CHarmin, Tampax and more for a FREE $15 coupon book. Don't forget to check your local SUnday paper for the P&G coupon insert to save money on your next purchase that has those coupon books in them. It is awesome to get the product free or close to free (with sales + coupons) and get more coupons inside!!

I don't understand this deal:

Dawn Dish Liquid 10.3 oz $0.99 with in ad coupon
Use the $0.25 coupon from the 11/1PG
Final cost $0.24!

It's 99cents with in-ad and then you use a $0.25 Q, how does that make it $0.24? Thanks a bunch!

the robitussin deal is non existent. it is not advertised in the flyers or at the stores.

Ann said...

I haven't been able to find the Robitussin to Go two-packs at all for several weeks. I asked about it last week, and the manager told me they were substituting a specific Robitussin liquid for the same price and you still get the RR. They had a UPC code by the check stand which they scanned instead of the product, and it worked!

Anonymous said...

the deal is not advertised though so how could you ask for it? I asked and they had no idea what i was talking about and I had no proof.

Mom Who Cares said...

I haven't been able to get the Robitussin to Go two-packs either and I was told it was due to a back log.

The manager told me soemthing simular - that I could buy a different liquid one and get the discount off of the amount - so get $2.49 off the other one. He didn't tell me about a RR that would come with it. I declined as I was only going to use it as a filler and used the chapstick instead.

Thought I would share a WAGS experience I had yesterday: I was rifling through my RR's to use at the register and the gentleman behind me asked if he could have one. I am sure he was joking BUT I said why not and gave him one to use on the soda he was buying! "Paying it forward" can take many forms but each has the same reward (I felt soooo good) - it is definitely more blessed to give than receive.

Good for you Heidi!! Maybe I will do this too. :) Share the goodness

I did the Robitussin deal they key in a $2.50 cpn and then you do get a $2.50 RR. I did this twice and then I bought3 bottles o suave shampoo and conditioner for tax only and got back another $2.00 RR. I loved shipping at walgreens this week I just kept rolling my rr and kept getting free Halls, lotion , shampoo, Razors Got to love FREE Stuff!!!

Also, if you do buy multiple Glade items, you could use the $1/2 Glade products coupon from the November Walgreens coupon book, right? So your profit would be more if you do the SC Johnson rebate.

Debbie said...

when I went to get the free dove soap last week the cashier told me it was walgreens policy that I give her the in ad coupon first, then my coupons. So I ended up paying $2 something for 7 bars of soap. Which isn't bad, but I was expecting to get them for free. Is there a policy somewhere that states this?

Mom Who Cares said...

Debbie:
The cashier is right - you have to hand over your in-store Q first then your manufacture coupons - otherwise you risk beepage and you not being able to use the in-store coupons.

Unknown said...

Debbie,
You're correct - you should always give Wags coupons last. A Wags coupon will always go through, even if it gives you overage. A manufacturer coupon will beep though & they will not normally push it through if it's even $.01 over the price.

At my Wags here in Goshen, Indiana, the sales lady told me that they were told they have to take the wags cps 1st & then the manufactoring cps. Plus they were told that when you buy one & get one free they are not allowed to take 2 cps on them any more. Every time I go there is always something changing. On the bright side I have gotten to know my wags lady very well & she let me use both cps anyway. It pays to get to know your sales lady & be very friendly. lol

Anonymous said...

My Wags refused to allow the B1G1 Free Gillette and $1.00 coupon together. If the computer would have taken it then they would have allowed it but it kept beeping. I left without any Gillette. Wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue with this weeks deals...

Mariah said...

The Campbell's soup deal is also on Chicken Noodle soup, but the coupon you linked to is for cooking soup. The soup that is part of the sale does not match this coupon.

Mom Who Cares said...

Debbie: I looked it up as it seems that walgreens do things differently at each one.

Here is a copy and paste of what Collin said:

"Dove Bar Soap $0.99 with in ad coupon
Use the $1/1 Dove face care coupon from the 10/4RP
Final cost FREE!
**Make sure to hand over the manufacturer coupon before the in ad coupon to avoid any beepage!
"

So, you are right according to the way you wanted to do it. But, seems the register didn't beep for you in doing it store Q than Manuf. Q. - I have done it store than manuf with no beeps ever.

Maybe I will try the other way around - manuf than store to see if I get better deals like your explaning - thanks for pointing that out. Hope that copy and paste of Collins dove soap example helped you with this, as it seems some of us have been told different too.

I guess the walgreens I go to don't beep at people for a small shortage. In my math is comes out the same:

the store Q made it .99 for the soap and then the manu took off $1.00 - so it made it -.01

in reverse it comes out the same - take off the $1.00 Q than make the item value .99 - it makes it -.01

So I am confused why you had to pay $2.00 - did it not take the manuf Q? I know no matter what you have to pay tax, so did you pay $2.00+tx or just $2.00

There was also a limit of 3 dove soaps @ .99 stated on the store Q - so it was nice of them to let you get more than 3 at one time. I have to leave and come back in a few mins later if there are limits on the store Q in my wags, otherwise they will charge me reg price on the extra item. So, I'd only get the first 3 at .99 and the others at reg price if done in the same transaction.

I live near Springfield, MA and I'm just wondering if anyone knows why the Walgreens around here do not let you recieve a RR if you pay with one??? I've tried it a couple times a few months back and it didn't print the RR..I was mad so i won't try it again. I do love CVS though because I can "roll" the ECB. Wish our walgreens was like the rest of your stores!

I got very lucky in finding the Robitussin To-Go 2 packs in my Walgreens yesterday. The manager even encouraged me to buy two and have 2 transactions because the deal was soo good! I haven't shopped at Walgreens too much because I forgot there was one so close by that I could walk to. It is kinda in a "sketchy" neighborhood to someone who doesn't live around here ( I live in Philadelphia ), but it's not really all that bad.

Also, the place was MOBBED when I was in there yesterday because of it being Halloween and such and last min shoppers, but regardless of that I had some of the BEST customer service by multiple employees in there that I have had in a LONG time. I even emailed Walgreens about it, and they called me today to thank me and let me know that the employees in question will be informed of the nice comments! I will much rather walk there to shop than wait until I'm downtown and around one of the "nicer" stores, where the service is usually ehh.

My Tag Q is buy TWO, get one free, not BOGO.

I went to Walgreens today around noon and they didn't have the Gillette Shower Gel or the Robitussin to Go on the shelf. Guess I will have to go back and check later this week.

so i went to walgreens today and i found some dayquil on clearance for $1.64! I bought two on two separate transactions with two of the $1 off on each transaction and got each bottle for $.64! the best part is next. each one printed a $5 RR!! I thought i was gonna get lucky and get a $3 one!! yay!!

Anonymous said...

Be CAREFUL to be on the lookout for the $8.00 RR for the J&J products! There are other J&J products in the First Aid Isle that have the Buy 2=$2RR/Buy 3=$8RR plaquard but will not print the RR. I had to have the manager check them for me and she ended up ringing one of the products featured in the ad to print a RR and then voiding the sale after it printed. She was so nice to do that and took about 15 minutes researching it for me. Some of the items must not have been entered into the system to print the RR.

Hope this helps!!!

I had not problems with the Gillette coupons in Northern VA. I did 2 transactions back to back using both the $1 of the deodorant and the FREE body wash ($4.00 had to be keyed in) and they went through fine!

Anonymous said...

Anon near Springfield, MA... You can use RR for a transaction and receive RR for the qualifying items in the transaction, though you can not usually roll the RR printed for a deal for the same deal on the next transaction. The system will recognize it and not print it. You can however use RR from the same manufacturer as a qualifying deal and get the RR for that deal. Example: I redeemed 4-$6RR from the Gillette Fusion Razors today (P&G) and got the $2RR for the Gillette Deodorant and Body Wash! ( I gave all the free Razors from last month to the local men's shelter)

Anonymous from 11/1--this is the person from Springfield, MA...are you from around here too?? I would be happy to find someone else in the area...doesn't seem like there are alot of couponers around here. But, I did try what you said...I think I was using a $10 Huggies RR to buy some shampoo that had a RR but it didn't print...she told me that anyone who uses a RR to pay will not recieve another one. So.. if it really works I would love to know how...maybe I should call a manager and ask them how it works. (In our area) I go to the one on Boston Rd.

There is also a Healthy Savings coupon for $.50 Ricola (which will take off $1). This would make the Ricola really cheap, or a moneymaker if your retail price is $2.49 (like it is here in Chicago)!

I am one who purchased 3 of the J&J items and didn't get the $8 RR. What should I do? Do I call catalina. Should I go try again? How do I prove it didn't print? Thanks so much.

I would definitely use your RRs to purchase some of the Almay RR deals this week -- great little moneymaker.

Also, for whoever posted about the soups -- the tomato soup is considered a cooking soup and is part of the sale. CVS had these last week, I think and I use these Qs all the time at both stores.

Weird question - I printed some of the Conagra recession payback Qs and cut them out on the dotted lines, but that cut off the part that told what the coupon was for and how much to take off!!! I recyle my paper and the "cents off WYB" part must have been used for other coupons!

I will try to use them at Walgreens tomorrow and take some others that are intact, but has anyone tried this yet? Strange way to print a coupon!

Anonymous said...

The in-store Walgreens coupons are actually manufacturer coupons for use only at Walgreens. From my experience you can use both, as long as you have enough filler items so that you end up with one coupon per item. You can't have more coupons than items purchased. Hope this will help some of you!

Charmel said...

I got my free herbal essence coupon this week and it came with a $1 off coupon too. I bought 2 at Walgreens, got 1 free (-3.50) and got $1 off the other one. Paid 2.50 and got back a $2 RR.

Watch out for Walgreens catalina coupons for the Lindt. I don't know what triggered it but I got a $1.50/1 bag for it a few weeks ago; it's So good!
