What is witch hazel toner?

It's supposed to be really good on acne.

I don't have acne, but bought some at Walgreens a month or so ago, because it had a $1 hangtag coupon, so was virtually free. My skin is dry-normal and I really like it! It's not as harsh as other toners I've tried. Be careful, though, it smells awful.

I printed these out and the $1 Q printed fine, but the $3/2 coupon is barely legible (and they're on the same page?). Anyone else having trouble with it?

Both printed fine for me, but they're small. I'm not certain they'll scan.

But for the honey, It's a Walgreens brand by Mel-o so will I still be able to use it?

Our family loves witch hazel for a sin toner! It clears up acne quickly and is usually really cheap.

I ran by my Walgreen's and had the pharmacy price check the witch hazel. It came up $5.99 per bottle. Maybe I misunderstood the bargain. Is there another coupon or a place where they are advertising the deal?

Oops! Should have previewed first. Not sin toner. Really good SKIN toner. Don't think it will do much for sins.

I just went and both the honey and the witch hazel.

- The clerk had trouble scanning the witch hazel coupon, worked when he keyed it in.
- The clerk had trouble scanning the honey coupon. Then he said since it was co-branded with the W logo. I could not use it. I spoke to the manager, and she agreed it was valid, and pushed it through.

Thank you for the post on the honey! I love to use it in making my own granola at home and it can get expensive at times if we go through it quickly. With the big size I should be stocked for awhile.

Witch Hazel is actually really bad in the long term for sensitive/acne prone skin. A toner has to be the correct ph (between 3and 4) to be beneficial without being too harsh - witch hazel is not. Besides testing it with ph strips like in science class, there isn't another way to prove it as far as I know, but it is true! Skip this one if you love your skin!

Tonight at Walgreens the witch hazel didn't have a mega saver thingy on it, but I asked them to price it and it came up at $1.99. The coupon had to be typed in, but it worked too. Awesome deal, thank you!

Also, the Vaseline lotions were a monthly register rewards thing, right? There was no sign on them today when I looked so I was afraid to buy.

anon- wtich hazel isn't bad for your skin. until you can prove it (and not in one of your home science experiments) I won't believe you.

they wouldnt let me use the 3 dollar coupon but i still got a good deal on it with the one dollar coupon :)

Hana, I've done the Vaseline this week as well, and it's still on as a monthly deal. My store had also removed the tags on the display, but the RR printed.

My walgreens wouldnt let me use the honey coupon because it was a walgreens brand. what's a girl to do? 3.99 still a pretty good deal.

Another WAGS deal... The clearance section had a ton of trident, orbitz, and mentos gum marked for $1. Trident and orbits were 3 packs. I only had the .55 mentos coupon so I got it and it rang up .42. The coupon beeped, but the cashier pushed it through. They also had Dove, Lindt, and Ghiradelli chocolate in the clearance section for $1. I am going to have to go back and have them pice check all of it!

The Mel-O honey was $7.49 at my Walgreens :( I'm running low and was looking forward to a good deal. Is theis advertised somewhere because it seems that most stores always have the same prices/sales?

ANON- the honey is priced $7.49, but there is a coupon in the weekly ad for $3.99. I had trouble with the $1 coupon also, but the cashier pushed it through- yea!

I went to my Walgreens today and found only a 16 oz. bottle Dickinson's Witch Hazel with a blue label. The picture on the Walgreens site also show the same bottle. The shelf talker is $6.49. Is this the same bottle that is on Megasaver now? TIA

can some one help me how to use this toner.. like face wash or oil to apply after wash.. wuld love to hear how to use it and when to use it

tHANKS!!!

Anon, you asked How to use the witch hazel... it is a toner like any other, don't let the name throw you off. After cleaning your face, moisten a cotton pad, and gently rub it on your face. It will evaporate quickly, and leave your face feeling soft and clean. Toner normally gets rid of any residue left behind after cleaning your face. Follow up with your moisturizer

Great deal. My walgreens is so lazy about not putting up sale price on shelf so I had to check price first. Yep, on sale so I got it for 1.00! I used to use this stuff in high school. Really like it but really does not smell too bad (almost no smell!). Yes, mine scanned just fine. A couple of skin doctors have recommended this in the past and me as well as a few friends that used for years never had problems. Skin only looked and felt better. I say USE it if you love your skin!
