Oh how I wish we had CVS in Denver! :)

We didn't get the trident coupon:( but even if we did I wouldn't have 10 of them!

So...we just got a CVS by us and I've watched your follow me monday video AND read up on your blog and some other's blogs to see how to go about CVS. Here's my question. When it says "limit 1" does that mean that this will only produce ECBs one time for the whole month? (or week if it's a week long sale?) Do they somehow keep track of you already doing the transaction on your card? I'm confused....

Hey Rachel!
Yes, you are correct! When something says "limit 1" it will only product ECB once. The transactions you have already done are tracked through your Care Card. You have to use your card to get the deal and your card knows whether you've already gotten that deal or not. Hope that helps!

Please remind me: can I use a CVS coupon as well as a manufacturer's coupon for the same item? For example, the Glade Sense & Spray print link in this post prints out a CVS pharmacy coupon. Can I combine it with the MQ listed, for overage???? Thanks for your help :)

It does help...thanks! I don't know if my brain can handle CVS and walgreens, but I thought I'd give it a try. :)

Anyone know if the Huggies deal is still going on this week?!?

Anonymous said...

The Huggies deal starts 11/22

Kristine: Yes, you can combine the CVS store coupons with manuf. coupons. I hit the jackpot with the Glade deal tonight: 2x$3 CVS coupons from their website, one for Sense & Spray starter kit, and one for Lasting Impressions starter kit. I combined them with $3 manuf. coupons for each. They are on sale for $6/ea -so they were both FREE, and produced $4 ECB wyb $12 in select Glade products. AWESOME!

Yes, I have the Season to save book. I went to the pharmacy and asked for the flu book. The pharmacist also gave me the season to save book. It only has 1 q. for $4 ECB if you spend $20.

I love your site! I have referenced you several times in my blog, and talked about my couponing techniques, many of which I have learned from here!
Many thanks,Mitch

Rachael,

One other thing I have discovered through trial and error: You don't have to buy everything in an EC deal at one time. For example, if it says you need to buy $20 worth of candy and get $5 EC bucks, you can buy $5 worth of candy now, $5 tomorrow and $10 the next day. As long as you meet the $20 requirement by the end of the week. I have found this info to be helpful when my CVS is out of certain promotional items. I buy what they have and then get the rest at another CVS.

Did the Q's beep, cause I just printed them and the numbers are the same as the manu. Q's?

cvs store coupons start with a number 4. mani coupons start with a 5. Sometimes you can print a mani Q that says cvs on it but it is not ness a cvs store coupon. its just like when other stores put their names on the coupons. so if it doesnt start with a 4 you cannot combine it with a manufact coupon. hth

Last time they had glade on sale..I used the "cvs store coupon" (I think it's really a manf. coupon)..and it didn't beep. It was very misleading.

OK...so I had lots of drama at CVS today. I did the CG foundation/blush deal and tried using my $1/1 and B1G1 CG coupons (I forget which inserts). WELL, both coupons beeped at the register and they told me that they cannot push them through and then told me that they wouldn't work b/c they aren't accepting coupons now on sale items. This didn't make sense, and the only thing that I could figure is that they won't accept coupons on items that will spit out ECBs. I told them to void the entire transaction and that I would go to another CVS store. I went to the next closest store and the register BEEPED again for both! This time though, the nice gentleman pushed them both through and I was able to score the deal. Has anyone ran into this problem as well??? I am worried it may be a new corporate thing...or maybe just in my area? I'm in Tallahassee, FL.

Sorry to threadjack, but does anyone remember where I can buy the trial size Herbal Essences?

I was searching for the post on here for a while... no luck! I must be crazy.

I'm new to the CVS ECB program. I went there tonight and got the CG deal, only the cashier would not let me use the BOGO coupon (it beeped) and she said it had to be one of the products listed??? Anyway, I now have $15 in ECBs and I want to know how I should spend these to generate more ECBs if there is not really anything else that I currently need that is on the ECB program this week is it best to hold onto them or should I buy something that I need that is not on the ECB program? Just looking for some direction! Thanks
