Restaurant.com: 80% off Promo Code Extended!

I just wanted to let you all know that the smokin' HOT Restaurant.com 80% off promo code has been extended thru 11/16!

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and pay ONLY $2!
Just use promo code ENTREE!

For a total of just $2, you'll end up getting a $25 gift certificate! I always stock up on certificates when they are 80% off. They don't expire for a year after purchasing, so you'll definitely have lots of time to make use of them. These would also make for inexpensive Christmas gifts too!

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What's that? It's a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code ENTREE--your total will drop down to just $24! Wahoo! That means you're snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

If your unfamiliar with how restaurant.com works, then be sure to check out this post! You may also want to read through the comments on this post if you still have questions.

(Thanks, SpectacularSavings!)

I noticed there is a minimum purchase of $35, if I buy a $25 certificate, does that mean my meal would end up costing me $10...I'm confused! Can someone clarify? Thanks!

Yes if the meal costs $35 the total would be $10. However, don't forget about tax and tip, which should both be calculated on the HIGHER price. I normally end up spending $15-$20 for $40 worth of food.

I have the same question about the minimum being $35. Can you use 2 certificates? Or do you have to use 1 certificate plus $10 cash?

Thanks for clairfication!

be careful when you buy these. I got two $50 cert. for the two restaurants in my town. It doesn't tell you until you pay for them and print out the certificates that you get $50 off a $100 purchase. I would feel really bad giving that as a gift.

Ok, can someone clarify this please? The place would be using them is not an expensive place so very unlikely we would be spending $50 to save $25 or whatever.

Usually you can only use 1 coupon per table. Make sure to read the exceptions on the bottom before you purchase. Just bought one for the in laws in WI and one for my parents in FL! Generally it's not a problem spending >$35 on 2 entrees with drinks. Another way to give them as gifts is go out to dinner with another couple and offer to pay. That way, it takes a huge chunk out of what you're actually paying, and it doesn't force the receiver to have to pay anything out of pocket.

to some restaurant.com espects out there : i am relatively new to this great deal and does anyone know how the gift card works? is the gift card for us to use at restaurant.com or for the restaurants we go to? if i buy 12 certificates at once, do they have to be for the same restaurant or do i get to choose different ones to go to each time? is the gift card for us to use at restaurant.com or for the restaurants we go to?

I did this and didn't realize that I'd have to spend a minimum of $50 at the restaurant before I could use my $25! I wouldn't spend $25 at the small restaurant chain I bought it for. So, so far it's a wasted 2 bucks.

I noticed that the one restaurant in my immediate area which participates is no longer in business, and is still on the site. I bought a gift cert for them a month or so ago. It only cost me two bucks, but you might want to verify that the restaurant you wish to visit is still around, especially if it is a mom and pop, especially with this economy.
