Can u still buy the Bayer meters if you're not a diabetic?

Unknown said...

Anytime I try to use the Wags coupons that aren't the in-ad coupons with a manu coupon it always beeps and says it can't process the coupon. I tried today with the cranberry juice and glade and it wouldn't let me, she gave me the wags coupons back for those items and I didn't complain too much since I my deals were still good... but is there something I'm not doing right?

ALSO, I found the Vicks 44 cough syrup on clearance for 3.74, I bought 2 and used a 1.00 off on each and the 5.00 RR printed even though
I bought clearance and not the 2/12 deal.

The $3 WAG EXTRA COUPON states "LIMIT 2 SALE", So the deal won't work if you're trying to buy 3 and get the $8RR. Max you can get is $2overage+ $2RR... That is, if they'll accept both the Extra coupon AND the coloring book coupon. (Both are WAG coupons so I'm not sure if they'll let you use them on the same item)

Janet,
Same thing happened to me on the juice!

Anonymous said...

I bought the Cranberry juice this morning and the cashier scanned the mfg coupon first and then the WAGS coupon and it went through with no beeping.

jandd said...

I was able to get the Ocean Spray Juice for free, I handed the mfg cpn first(peelie) before giving the wags cpn. I didn't have a problem at all. :)

Anonymous said...

I did the same thing but it beeped when they scanned their Wags coupon, so frustrating!

Anonymous said...

For the Bayer Meters, I am not diabetic but I was able to get it for Free. This actually for my brother who is diabetic.

Anonymous said...

oh good thanks! My aunt and grandfather are both diabetics and I was hoping to get these for them!

Anonymous said...

don't get the To-GO spray...it doesn't print a RR!

LilKim said...

The .5 Neosporin IS NOT on RR sale. It is 5.49 each at my Wags, and buying 3 produces NO RR. ONLY the 1 oz size gives RR - and those are 6.99 Each. FYI.

Anonymous said...

The cheapest Neosporin at my store is $6.99.

Hip2Save said...

Thanks for the info, Lilkim! I just updated the post with a corrected deal scenario for purchasing the 1 oz size priced at $6.99. It will still be a $5 moneymaker after the $8 Register Reward!:)

Anonymous said...

The 1 oz Neosporin costs $8.49 at my Wags!

Anonymous said...

They have a $5.00 off of $25.00 in the sale ad of november 8

Anonymous said...

The $3 Wags coupon still says "limit 2", so buying 3 and using it will be a "no go"....sorry Collin :(.

Anonymous said...

Off the subject, but did anyone purchase the Gold Medal flour at Walgreens? It says 2/$3 but not the size. Is it the 5# bags? or smaller?

Anonymous said...

Can we still buy the coloring books? Are they in the kid's section?

Jennifer said...

There are multiple varieties of the Cranberry Juice on sale this week at Walgreens.

The plain Cranberry juice cocktail beeps but the sugar free Cranberry juice that says "100% Juice" on the label doesn't. Like the one pictured on the Wags coupon.

Just a warning if your buying the Bayer meters... at some of the stores the register rewards are not printing. I went to 4 different stores and they did not print at 2 of them. So I had to do returns.

Anonymous said...

So does the 3- 1oz Neosporin deal work as stated in the H2S scenario, or not? I'm confused. The $3 bonus coupon does say limit 2. Help!!! Has anyone actually done this?

Anonymous said...

It probably does work. Question is, would you feel guilty enough not to try it???

Stacy said...

Even though there is a "limit" I have always had it take the specific amount off on all the products, no mater how many I buy. Bought 12 boxes of popcorn last week, used a Wags Q that said "limit 2" and it took the specific amount off all 12 boxes.

Hip2Save said...

Hi guys,

There is a limit stated on most Walgreens coupons, but you can surpass the limit and you will still get the correct discount off each "like" product purchased.

Now this does become a YMMV (your mileage may vary) type situation depending on your cashier or manager. My manager doesn't mind if you purchase more then the limit stated on the coupon. All he asks is that you don't clear the shelves.

You can use 2 WAG coupons on the same product...plus a manufacturers coupon?! I didn't know that!

Anonymous said...

Yes, the flour is the 5lb bag. bought it today:)

Anonymous said...

This didn't work here in CA when I tried to use 2 wags coupons on the Comtrex...they told me it was one or the other.

Sally said...

Bayer meters... at my store the register rewards did not print. The manager gave me "mail-in request" form for $5RR. I might call the 1-888-826-8766 to report it instead of mail it, save the stamp.

Tara S said...

I beleive the contour meters were not printing but the breeze were...some have stated that it depends on the store....so frustrating when this happens!

The 1 oz. Neosporin that is actually putting out the RR is $8.99, not $6.99. The .5 oz size is $6.99 and NOT printing RRs! It's not free or a MM, but still a great deal:

2 Neosporins (.5 oz) $6.99

$13.98

Use 2 $1 manufacturer's coupons
Use $3 Wags Bonus coupon (will deduct $6, which is the limit)
Use $2 Coloring Book coupon (will deduct $4 total)

OOP: $1.98

I wish this deal would have worked though :(

Anonymous said...

Even better deal:

3 Neosporins (1 oz.) $8.99 ea

$26.97

Use 3 $1 manu Qs
Use $3 Wags Q (-$9)
Use $2 Coloring Book Q (-$6)

OOP: $8.97, but this way you get back $8 RR!!!!

how are we able to use 2 walgreens coupons on the same item? Just curious. I already bought the neosporin (I bought the .5, which didn't give me the RR, but it's okay, cause got overage towards my other purchases) and it worked fine, but was just wondering.

Anonymous said...

I am gathering quite a few RR. Most of them are $8 value, and I am having a hard time figuring out how to use them, because most of the deals I do don't come to that amount. Can the RR be used in the photo center? Where in the store have some of you found your best value for these? Thanks

Lori said...

i am also curious about using 2 WG coupons on one item. i knew u could use a man-q with a walg q but didnt know you could use 2 walgreen qs...????
and i tried the breathe right deal today and no RR printed? anyone else tried it?

Anonymous said...

according to the coupon police at my walgreens you cannot use 2 wags coups for one item...

Anonymous said...

just had the funniest experience at wags.... The guy who checked me out said that you can only used one coupon per purchase (meaning transaction to him) and that I had to do 27 separate purchases (5 people in line behind me) I said ok do it that way fine its more work for you... so then i ask for a manager he calls her... spouts of in spanish to her that i am a crazy coupon person who wants everything for free(haha he didn't know that i understand spanish VERY well) so then I asked that he speak english because this is the USA and I would like to understand what they are talking about (i didn't call him out on the crazy thing that was to easy and would be much better saved for a letter to corporate) she told him to go ahead and accept all my coupons... i think she realized i knew what he had said and was not very happy. $115 worth of merch for $22 :)

Unknown said...

hello anonymous..who did the transaction $115 worth of merch for $22...we would all like to know what did you purchased...i mean if you can share the transaction details ..it will be good for all the readers

Anonymous 10:13, I don't know where you are located but you should try and find a store around you that accepts competitors coupons. I found that my Safeway (Eldersburg, Md) accepts them and I can spend them on my groceries. I like to unload some when I get too many and they are nearing expiration, makes more sense when the deals aren't great! So look around at your local stores and try, it can't hurt. They are manufacterer's coupons, so the store will be reimbursed, it would actually be beneficial to them to take them because it gets you to shop there.

Anonymous said...

Hi I think several people have mentioned this, and I too would like some clarification? You can use 2 wags and 1 manu. on the same item?

Michelle & Luke said...

At my wags neosporin is $8.99. I used 1 of the printed wags q's for $3/1, 1 of the $2/1 from the activity book, and 3 $1/1 IP's. I got the 3 neo's for $8.97 and a $8 RR back, so $.97 net, not bad!

Anonymous said...

I just got back from our WAGS and was able to use 2 wags coupons plus the mfg- the 2nd wags coupon did make the machine beep and I thought- "oh well, I guess I can only use 1" but the clerk is very up on coupons (have had her check me out a lot) and she looked at both the wags and said "this shouldn't make it beep since they are 2 different wags and not 2 mfg., so I will just override the price." Awesome! I bought 3 1oz tubes (7.29 each reg) for 1.29 each PLUS I did get the 8 RR! I bought the last 3 at the 7.29 price but there were several at the 8.99 price and also marked with the $8 rr red sign in front - this would still make for a great deal. ( I am collecting first aide items for a mission trip to Northern India- love finding these deals!!)

Unknown said...

I dont have last weeks add in front of me, but it had the neosporin advertised. was the 1oz on sale last week for 6.99?

im a little wary of trying 2 wags q's for one item..

the person that always checks me out wont ever try anything if the register beeps!

Lolo said...

Janet and others who are having problems with wags Q's beeping. I have noticed that my Wags has changed their registers so that if the price of the Manuf. and wag coupons exceed the value of the item you are purchasing it will not accept the wags coupon. It used to take off the "extra" little bit from the rest of my order total, but no longer. :( This may be what is happening to you as well. Also be careful when doing it on a deal such as if you buy 3 of something to get a RR, but the manufacturer and wags coupon amounts for all 3 exceeds the value, it will take off the value for say 2 of the items, but not the last one. I have had this happen several times and had to have the manager come over and "fix" it. i.e. if you are getting a product at $5.99 X 3= $17.97 and you had 3 $3.00 manuf. coupons and a $3 off Wag coupon it would take off a total of $15 (3 x $3 man q for $9 plus 2 x $3 wag q for $6) because if it tried to take off the last $3 wag q it would exceed the value of the items by $.03, so it just won't deduct it(even if you have other items on your order to absorb the extra $.03). That has been what has been happening to me for about the past month. It used to work fine when you handed it to them last, it would just take it off the rest of my purchases but no longer, so beware and watch your receipts to make sure this does not happen to you too!

Here in Jax, NC the 1oz Neosporin ARE 6.99 each, so YMMV on what the sale prices are in your area :)

I am understanding previous posters correctly that Walgreen's RR can be used at stores, other than Walgreen's.

Went to Walgreens last night and got the last 2 Bayer meters, both printed a RR, yay!

Yay for deals on Neosporin! I always love a chance to stock up.

I messed up big. I forgot the bonus coupons from online and could not find the coloring book. Not such a great deal now.

Anonymous said...

everones problem is not the coupons it is the fact that you are paying with RR or using more couposn than items. If you have 3 neosporins and 5 coupons you need 2 fillers. Then if you pay with any RR you will need more fillers.

Unknown said...

I went tonight to Wags. I cannot at my store combine two wags coupons.. so my neosporin and the comtrex was not such a great deal.
The only time I have to put in a filler is if im paying with an RR and have a mfg coupon with each item, i have never needed a filler with WAGS coupons. Not totally sure what happened.. but i did get ester c for .50.. ;) all in all not bad but frustrating that i cant use both.. i have coloring books, the diabetes books, and the healthy savings booklet.. for once i have them all and darn they wont all work together.

The peelies on Ocean Spray here were for the dried fruit!

I reached my print limit with two of the Neosporin coupons. How do you get around that?

Thanks so much - you are a blessing!

I printed off more then one computer. My husband and I both have laptops with printers and then my work has a desktop with a computer. Is there anyone that has access to the coloring books that would not mind sharing in exchange for other coupons?

I went to the Walgreens in Amarillo, TX and the neosporin rang up $8.49. So I asked to do a price check. Well the sale tag read $6.99 buy 3 or more get $8RR. Didn't read the fine print. That sale went off on 11/7. So sad. Did they all go off on 11/7?

dori15 said...

First of all, the Ocean Spray coupon peelie on my juice was for $1off Crasins, not the actual juice. Better check yours. Second, I did the Neosporin (1oz) deal today. Bought 3 at $6.99 (they are actually $8.49 in chicago but they forgot to take the sale ticket down from last week so they honored the price). I then gave them my $1 manuf. Q's which deducted $3...then my $3/1 wag's Q which deducted another $9 (didn't matter that the limit on the Q was 2) then I gave them the $2/1 Q from the child activity book and it deducted another $6. Final bill $2.97 and tax for 3 tubes and received the $8RR.

Does it have to be the 1oz to get the rr because i totally didnt look at the size and bout the .5 oz and didnt get a rr! :(

For those of you who are having trouble with WAGS taking 2 WAGS Qs along with the Manufac Q, just try giving them the coupon number instead of having them scan the actual coupon. I just tell them that, "I have the numbers written down for your store coupons." They never ask me which items they are for because the computer will recognize it if they are items that I have not purchased.

For the Neosporin the numbers for the in store coupons are #1179 and #2030. You do not have to have the actual coupon (at least in my store). They are just glad that they did not have to look up the number.

Hope that this works for you.

Went in Houston last night to 2 different WAGS and one had them priced at $6.99, the other $8.49. The $6.99 sign was their regular sign (not a sale one) so I assumed that was the price there so YMMV depending on store!!! I didn't get it since I didn't have online coupon yet, but was there to get other stuff and priced checked while I was there.

Anonymous said...

I tried the kleenex deal first and everything went fine. I did not do the deal for the neosporin, because the prices at my store were 8.99 and 9.99. Not even worth it for me.

Thanks for all the great deals.

$9 and some change for the 1oz here in Chicago.

Hip @ Save please read! I tried to use the L'Oreal Bare Natural 3.00 off coupon on the eyeshadow that was clearanced ,the manager told me I could not use the coupon even though I told him the wording on the coupon did not state a specific size I would love to know what you think. Thanks for all you do. I think I was in the right so I told corporate.

The 1 oz is NOT on sale for $6.99 anymore (that was last week 11/1-11/07). It's now $8.99. Bummer!

So i just got back from my wags today and i tried to do the neosporin RR deal and it didnt print out my $8RR. I bought neo to go and one neosporin tube all 3 priced at 6.29. RR deal says you can buy ANY neosporin product and get the RR deal. I used 2 manuf. coupons for $1 off the bonus coupon for $3 from wags and the coloring book coupon and no RR printed for me. I asked the manager who is very nice everytime i go there and he told me mine RR didnt print bc of my coupons i used which brought my total to $3 something w/tax (i also bought swiss hot cocoa). So i am thinking off calling catalina and telling them i didnt get mine and ask them to send me mine in the mail.

I just bought 3 Neosporine (1 oz.) at 6.99 each. They had a 2.00 peelie coupon on each box, I also gave they 2 of the WAGS internet coupons for Neosporine. My 8.00 RR did not print out. They ended up giving it to me and the manager said when we use the coupons the RR would not print out. I also got the tissues and juice used all of the coupons and had no problem. The first coupon I gave them was the 5.00 off coupon and they all went through.

so glad and not glad that other people out there have probs w/ wags. went today got some deals but had the coupon nazi. but when i used the word corporate he tried the other coupons and wow they worked!! i really think the hip 2 save ladies know more than the employees. i am now putting wags on the bottom of my couponing deals, too confusing w/ all the coupon books and exactly how your RRs can be used.

Anonymous said...

The bonus coupon for Neosporin says there is a limit of 2.

There are several types of neosporin, a RR will generate if you purchase the correct type.
