Kmart Double Coupon Deals 8/16-8/22

I'm starting this new Kmart Double Deals list from scratch, so it will be as accurate as possible. However, please be aware that prices may vary by region, so you may find some products priced less or price higher then what I have listed. I also want to let you all know that I am trying to ONLY post the best deals. That way you won't have lots of "just ok deals" to scroll through. I just want to emphasis--Kmart is doubling up to $2 coupons and limiting the amount of coupons you can double, so don't waste your coupons on deals that are just ok! It's time to stock up on inexpensive & FREE products and well, that's what my list is all about!:)

Kmart Double Coupon Rules:
  • You can double up to and including coupons with a $2 value. That means that a $2 coupon will be doubled up to $4, a $1 coupon will be doubled up to $2. However, a $3 coupon will NOT be doubled at all!

  • There is a limit of 4 like coupons being doubled in one transaction.

  • You can only double up to 10 coupons per day when you have $25 or more in purchases. This is before any manufacturer coupons are used, so it should be easy to get up to the $25 amount. Also, depending on your local Kmart, cashier and/or manager you may be able to have more then 10 coupons be doubled in one transaction!

  • Kmart also does NOT give coupon overage. For example, if you buy a product that is $2.50 and use a $2 coupon. The coupon will deduct $2 and the doubled amount will be .50, so you'll get the item FREE--you just won't make money.

Bring along this $5 off $50 Kmart coupon or go here (you'll need to sign up for Kmart email offers and you'll receive the coupon via email) to make all the below deals that much sweeter. Remember your total has to be over $50 before all manufacturer coupons, so make sure to hand this over first.

Don't forget that the $5 off $2o Kmart Toys coupon is still available too! This coupon is valid through 8/31/09! Plus, these new printable Kmart coupons are available as well: FREE American Fare Cotton Swabs with $20 or more in Healthy, Beauty, Food and consumables, FREE Rubbing Alcohol with $15 or more in Healthy, Beauty, Food and consumables and FREE Hydrogen Peroxide with $20 or more in Healthy, Beauty, Food and consumables! Remember that the $20 & $15 amounts can be used before all manufacturer coupons, so it should be easy to snag some freebies!

Wow, what great deals! Too bad my Kmart isn't participating :(

I contacted Kmart to see what stores are participating. They told me only 2 stores in TN are participating:

3019 PEOPLES ST JOHNSON CITY TN &
1805 E STONE DR KINGSPORT TN 37660

The coupons.com coupon for Softsoap bodywash and Irish Spring body wash unfortunatly are no longer available. Thankfully, i printed plenty out when I thought they were near free at Target. But I went back today to print more and they are no longer listed for 45435.

Thank You!!!! You save me sooo much money!

where did you find the advertisement for the catalina deals? I have had nothing but troubles in the past when it comes to the catalina so if i could find it in writing and have the ad with me, i may do those deals. Thanks, Beth

Our kmart isn't participating either :(

Hi Beth,

I've provided a link in the post to the first Catalina promotion I talk about, so you should be able to print it off and bring it with you to the store.

The other Cataline promo is advertised in their monthly circular that's valid through Tuesday, Aug 11th - Monday, Sep 14th. You can look up the circular on Kmarts site. The promotion can be found on page 21.

Hope this helps!

Is there another way to see if our local Kmart is participating? The call center reps are useless. They ALWAYS say our stores are participating and they never do. Is there a secret link to next week's ad or something?

LilKim said...

Do you happen to know if Jacksonville, NC is participating, Hip?

Thanks so much for this list! I've been doing some investigating of my own. This really rounds out my list :)

FYI
Ponds Towelettes $3
Use the $1.50 coupon from here
Final cost FREE!

Only the 15ct Towelettes are $3; and the coupon is only for the 30ct. Unfortunately this won't work.

Only the concord store is supposedly participating in NC. So, BOOOOOOOO!!!! I so wish so others were.

If you want to see if your store is participating without calling, you can usually pull up your ad on the Kmart site and it'll say 'Super Double Coupons' on the front page.

To find your add, go to the bottom of the homepage under Kmart Deals and click on 'weekly ad'. Just type in your zip.

Hope that helps!

To find if your store is participating, you can also email Kmart. Find the email address on their website. They have always been great about getting back to me immediately when I ask. I ask which stores are participating in Michigan & they email a complete list to me. Fantastic!

I just called the Contact Center for KMart, and the guy I got was very helpful. 1-866-KMART-4U. Appraently they're running another doubling campaign Aug 30-Sep 5 also.

If you're store isn't participating, you can put in a request through the Contact Center. He explained to me that the stores who participated were the ones with the highest performance in the coupon campaigns at the beginning of the year, and the ones who got the most requests. I put in a request, and I'll probably call back again, so maybe my store will participate next time!

The sharpie coupon is for the highlighters. Will this work with regular Sharpies?

FABULOUS!! I'm busy printing away. I could not find the bodywashes using the zip code provided. Is there another zip code to try??

It's a sad day. I just found out our KMart is closing in Titusville, Fl.

I was in a Southern Indiana store today looking for the elusive coupon booklet and saw the catalina deals posted by the products. They also have the 2oz glade soy candles (free Q last week, I think) and when I scanned my K-Mart Rewards Card I got a Q for a free Kleenex and $3 of my next edible/consumable purchase! So, it was worth my trip even though I didn't find the coupon book.

Collin,
can you post the link to the pdf version of the $5 of $50 coupon? I'm worried I won't get the email before 5pm and my printer at home isn't working.

thanks,

When I look at the ads on the Kmart Website, the only circulars shown end 8/15 or earlier. How can I see the one starting 8/16?

No stores in Oregon are participating. Bummer! Wish I didn't just spend 2 hours list-making and coupon printing... Lesson learned.

I emailed customer service and Colorado is not participating either. Such a bummer.

this is the best list I have seen so far.

I think this is a great deal, but I find it very hard to follow the cashier as the coupons are being doubled. On my one & only trip doing this, I reviewed my receipt & was shorted by about $7.50. They had to pull the cashiers drawer to figure everything out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there are any tips on how to track the coupons as they are being rung up. Thanks!

Debbie said...

If a screen pops up and they have to select the item(s) that your coupon is for make sure they click on the item(s) that that coupon is for or it might not take off the right amount.

Anonymous said...

true..if they donot tap on the right item on the screen to match up the coupon its messes with the whole transaction..i point out the item to them as soon as the screen pops up..example..that item is on the bottom left or top right hand corner..there pretty thankful when i do that because there a little overwelmed with all of the coupons..lol

Almost anytime I use more than 5 coups at any store, that happens. I really don't know how to avoid it. I've noticed that Walmart will make you think they put it through and then you find out later that the coup was never taken off and instead the casheir just put a 1.5 inch tab on your reciept telling you that the coup didn't match!! UGHH!!! I say just keep going through with small orders and watch like a hawk!

Anyway, The SoftSoap bodywash coup was listed at that zip, but unfortunaly it is already maxed out I think. I got a few a couple weeks ago, but its gone now. Sorry.

Hey all, dont forget a sneaky (but totally legal) way to get up to $50 with more than 10 coupons is to use FREE ITEM coupons AFTER your 10 double coupons to fill in that gap. For instance, I will buy 3 Renuzit Crystals (for CAT $5 back deal), using 3 $2 coups, 2 Chinet and 2 $2 coups, 2 Listerine Total and 2 coups, 2 sets of the Angel Soft and Sparkle Towels and 2 Q's for that..Also a Renu Fresh lens travel pack and 1 Q. That is 10 Coupons total and a total of around $47.60 (give or take if prices are different)..THEN, to get to $50, I will add a FREE GLADE candle (if they have it), or use the Mighty dog free can coupons (up to $1 off, but no need to double!), OR.. whatever free's you may have. If you have them of course. Do they carry the Jack Links? Anyway.. if I can do this, it gets my total to $50 easily so I can use the $5 off $50 and keep my OOP LOW!! I have 4 or 5 of the high value items coupons, like the Scotch, the Hartz or the Visine that I will clip and bring, in case my chosen items aren't there, so I can easily substitute. Though, there have been times EVERYTHING was out! LOL! If all else fails, its easy to reach $25 and be on my way! :) Thanks so much for the list, it is awesome!

Unfortunately, stores in Massachusetts are not participating the Double Coupon event. I called my local stores and e-mail KMart Customer service to check.

I am really bummed out. I'm new to couponing & spent lots of time printing coupons last night and was so excited to get lots of free deals. Oh well.

Tracey, yep that is a totally legit way of getting your total up :) You are allowed 10 doubled coupons, the rest can be accepted at face value WAHOO!!
Just be sure to specify to the cashier which 10 you want doubled.

But apparently, the computers will actually continue to double; it's just the store/manager/cashier that will have to enforce the 10 double rule.

At my kmart by the front of the store there was a stack of ads that the store made copies of, on the back of this ad is a 5/25 beauty and health. I am using this coup to make my oop low. Can't wait till tomorrow. The only thing that stinks is kmart never restocks after they are out of the product thats it. So i try to get what i really want on sunday

Interesting, the Kmart website does not have the new ads up as of yet at least not in my area. I do know my store is participating per a list of participating stores on AFC, but I would love to see it in the ad.

A few of the deals listed on here aren't always going to work. As an employee who actually reads the coupons, I encourage you to pay attention to what they say. For instance, the wisp coupon says only 4 count and above. I wouldn't recommend trying to put one past the cashiers because many times it means less accomodation for you in terms of the 10 limit and other factors. Also the $5 off $50 should be calculated after all other discounts have been applied (and yes that means coupons). Now don't get me wrong, I use my fair share of coupons during d/c time, and encourage others to do so. Just remember to follow the rules because otherwise the whole program will be discontinued.

I have a question... When Kmart does double coupons, how does it work? Does Kmart get reimbursed from the manufacturer for the amount of the doubled coupon?
What if the coupon says "do not double?"
Does it cost Kmart any money to run doubles is basically my question-do they cover any part of the cost of the product?

MyNameIsPearl said...

Wow! there isn't anything I see in the ad worth getting excited about! Anyone see anything new?

Neither Secret nor Duracell are actually included in the catalina deal. I bought these items this morning and got no cat. I then looked at the details in the link provided and it says cat. deal only good on charmin, bounty, gain, cheer and downy...no mention of secret or duracell. You might want to plan accordingly.

Hip2Save said...

Anon,
I'm sorry the Duracell and Secret didn't work for you, but if you check this link below it shows that they are both included in the promo:

You can also find this info on the Kmart promo page here:

It's the second link they provide.

I'm new to the blog and was wondering if someone could explain how I can find the coupons that don't have links to them. Like when it says "...from the 8/2RP" or "...from the 6/14SS". Thanks in advance for the help.

i called my kmart on saturday night, they said they were participating and that they accept online coupons (they didnt say nething about the 10 coupon limit) so i went there searching for an hour getting just about everything on this list and got to the counter and could only purchase 10 things bc theey stick to the 10 coupon per person per day limit. I can see you put a lot of time into this post. However, there are a few things of note.

1. The last scenario may not work as Kmart only accepts 10 coupons per order and 4 of the same type of coupon.

2. I know you did this post in advance and all your "coupon sensers" are going to raid these items, if they can and have the coupons, but that only leads to other coupon sensers being extremely Disappointed if they don't shop on Sunday.

3. The store has other catalinas not mentioned here.

4. coupon sensers have a tendency to raid the shelves for your posted items and miss items right under their noses.

These coupon sensers were there this morning, failing to notice the coupon tearpads right before their eyes because they were trying to hoard the items from the list you made them. Well, of course... after all, they pay Coupon $ense a fee and they need to feel like they are getting a return on their investments.

Several had 3 ring binders with them.

My order came to 23.59 and we paid a nickel. Also, I receive (2) $5 off my next order (no minimum) and (1) $3 off my next order.

You should have seen the look on your coupon sensers faces when we were about to get 1.57 overage, but then got soda and paid 5 cents.

And I didn't pay anyone a dime...haha.. literally.

There were $2 off tearpads for Garnier at the Garnier display. Yeah, of course I took the rest. The shampoo was 3.99... right in front of their coupon sensing eyes. They must have been too busy looking over your list to notice. Hahahaha

Altogether I got 3 free hair dye, 4 free scope, 4 free shampoo, 3 things of free laundry detergent, 4 free toothpaste, 8 of the tag (which btw some are 4.29, not 3.50 as you report), free soda, a free swiffer starter kit and a few other items.

Your couponers fail to note clearance items, tearpads and I'm glad they are all going for the items you and Coupon $$$ense list because I totally raided the store today in 2 trips. I have noticed your coupon sensers raiding shelves at stores missing deals right in front of their faces.

Good luck coupon sensers and thank you coupon sense for helping those with no "common sense" and leading them in the wrong direction, never thinking for themselves.

unfortunately nothing but the laundry detergent and toilet paper and bounty are included in the 10.00 catalina deal. Hopefully i wont have to spend hours to get kmart to return the items i purchased for that deal.

Hi Hip to Save! I just wanted to say thank you for your hard work compiling these lists for us!! I got a ton of stuff today and only paid 2.67 out of pocket (and also got a $5.00 catalina and another form to send in for $5 from the Kellogg deal). Not bad! Your list telling us which/where coupons are available is priceless!

marah-RP=Red Plum and SS=Smart Source These are both newspaper coupon inserts.

Infonomics...your post did nothing for me. If you don't find the blog helpful then don't read it. Please keep your nasty comments to yourself. That is wonderful that you found some other items that were included in the coupon double deals...but you just coming on here to post that is completely useless.

Hi. I'm new to couponing. I've never attemped to 'double' coupons before. This may be a dumb question but - how do you do it?
For example to get an item for free which is selling for $3.99, do I need to bring 2 of the same $2 coupons, or do they scan 1 $2 coupon twice? Or does the register system automatically double each coupon? These sound like great deals. I'm just not sure how to get them!

Unknown said...

Loredana,
You just need one 2$ coupon for a 3.99 item, the system will automatically double it to 3.99. Just keep in mind you can only do 4 of the same coupon at once and 10 total doubled coupons, so you can have 10 2$ coupons which saves you 40$ but only 4 can be the same. hope that helps.

one last thing, what in the hell was infonomics doing reading this if not looking for a coupon matchup list??? :|

Frist of all WTH was Infonomics post about.. blah blah blah.. Don't read the blog then you weirdo..

Anyway, on a POSITIVE note my Kmart does not enforce the 10 item limit. However, I do small transactions 10-15 items so that I can make sure that all my coupons go through. I added up the price of all my items and before tax it was $220 and I paid out of pocket $9.21!! I got paper towels, toilet paper, tuna, shampoo, cleaning supplies, deorderant, sunscreen... and the list goes on..

Has anyone else had a problem with getting the free movie ticket voucher when you purchase the Axe bodywash? I tried this morning and they said they had no idea what I was talking about...

At my Kmart they had coupons at the service desk for $5 off $50 and $10 off $100. They were on a pad and the girl that was ringing me up gave me one for the $10 off $100 then she gave me a whole stack in case I go back. I spent $109 before coupons and once everything was done it was only $22.30 but my Kmart also takes more than 10 coupons.

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure the movie ticket deal was only going on around father's day and is no longer valid. Also...as far as kmart getting reimbursed for the doubles. They don't. Kmart basically eats the cost of the doubling amount, so be appreciative of the promotion because they are actually losing money and doing it only to increase sales and help their customers out.

I want to THANK YOU for such a wonderful site. I have been to my Kmart 4 times in 2 days. Made my husband go with me on my first trip. Between all 4 days Ive spent $41.03 and SAVED $121.38. It was good to take the husband so he could do a transaction but he slipped a few things into the cart when I wasn't looking. :-\ A big part of my spending was the BOGO Osteo Bi-flex. They are priced at 27.95 and got one free. Then I used 2 $6.00 coupons. They even let me use the coupon on the free one. Cant beat that> HAPPY SAVINGS.

The ponds towelettes that are 2/$6.00 are the 15ct. and Q from coupon.com site is $1.50 off 30ct. At least this is the case @ my Ohio K-Mart.
